i think the year in pheonix compeletely deprogrammed whatever Q used to be.
i have never seen anybody just stand there and watch stuff happen around him like that.
i hope he gets a swift kick in the ass by lb.

in all fairness, he did go through alot this year and he's only 25. he's building a brand new house in pheonix, and before it's even finished to move into, he gets traded to nyc. then a few months after that, his relationship deteriorates. so now, he's 25, in a new city, fresh off a breakup. and he's a little out of shape b/c of it, gets a dictator in lb to coach him everyday, and must fight back from injury.

i'm sympathetic to him as a player and a person.

but as a knicks fan, i'm like SUCK IT UP AND PLAY YOU RAT BASTARD!!!

as for marbury, i really like what i see from him defensively. he's always had it in him and he would show it from time to time but now, he has to show it all the time. now just move him to the SG and let's go....

I agree, Marbury has been playing acceptable D this year, which gives me hope.

OH my god, please!!! MArbury playing D.. can't happened and won't happened.. HE was never a good defender to begin with and his own G.M, Isiah told him that he was one of the worse defending guard in the NBA..

The thing about Marbury is if he wants to play D every night for 48 min, he's gonna have score less and exert more of his energy on the defensive end..


I think in the NBA, if you have it in you, in your blood than you can become a good or great defender..

MArbury's been in the league for almost 10 yrs now and still hasn't palyed defense.. If he guards Arenas, or Baron D or Steve Francis, he'll score over 20 v.s them but they'll also score 20 on him... It usually nets out vs a premier guard..

I really believe he'll be gone soon.. HE just doesn't blend into Larry Brown's defensive philosophy

i still think the knicks need someone to depend on day in and day out. So far, i haven't really seen one guy who i know will deliver a good amount of scoring ever night. Maybe it's too early to make judgements like that but when H2O was on the team, i really felt confident that his jumper was gonna get us some points. I felt the same way with craw last season. Like I said maybe it's toooo early. Whatever it is, the knicks need to pick it up now, you don't want to try to come out of a deep hole.

actually i thought the past three games marbury was exceptional defending. he never blew his assignments and got mad at those who did. he defended richardson well and always stayed with his man. arenas and baron davis had good games but a bulk of the scoring was when crawford was guarding them. marbury is the least of our problem with d.

totally agree. Curry & Craw need to step their game up.

if by conspiracy you mean getting paid to not play defense, then I'd say you are correct.
