Successful Scenario
Due to New York and Denver being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. New York and Denver had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Nene will be good but I think the Knicks are set up front. I don't think we need Nene man we got Channing, David Lee, and Butler..........You guys are greedy.

Watson, Watson, Watson!!!!

Oh sht man I'm gonna blow my carburetor.

Enyspree, Nene is an expiring contract, so next year we can tender him a 1 yr deal to see if he can still play after his surgery. Because Nene is better than Butler and Lee before he got hurt. Plus he is 6'11 and can play both forward spots unlike Lee ( who i love as a player )

Man, Lee can definately play and defend the 3 spot.

No need to describe Nene to me. I think the dude is the quickest big man in the game. I was just saying Channing is gonna be a player Nene would be over kill.....but.....that trade you posted looks good to me! Geez man you get rid of Crawford, Jerome James and even free playing time for Jackie Butler......oh yeah we get Nene for next season?!?!

Sign me up!

I love Watson bro! Geez man.....get Watson and get crunk!!!

A resounding no from me. He's a younger Ward without the good 3 pointer. I saw him play about 20 games last year. He did a great job beating up on the opposing team's 2nd string guards.

I am MUCH more in favor of sticking with Marbury/Craw/Nate even if the defense isnt there. With the athletic frountvourt guys we have what we really need are playmakers, which Watson is not. The problem right now is our playmakers have no idea what they are supposed to do.

They will get it. Relax on this. Larry will get them to relax. This offense should be simple. Set a high screen for Marbury, Nate or Craw. Have them attack the basket. Dump it off to a Curry or Lee. Let Ariza and Curry crash the glass. Look for Frye or Q open for a mid range jumper.

They will get it. We have good players and good coach. Watson isnt what this group needs IMO

Good post, fish. I agree! These guys deserve a chance.

Also, if Jerome James got traded, who'd you call Big Snacks?

Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

I really hope not. Vince may be a knucklehead but he's right about one thing. Its a talent driven league and Crawford has so much more talent than Watson its not even funny. Watson is like the Brian Cardinal of PGs.

Even if Nene were included in the deal as outlined above? I know he tore his ACL but with a year off, people (especially good athletes in their early 20s) usually come back at 100%. Jamal Crawford tore his ACL and is still extremely quick.

Funny comparrison. It's kinda acurate when you think about it.

I got my guys man....remember Shammond Williams? I just new that guy was gonna be the next Terrell Brandon. He had awesome skills now he probably is just doing busines with the dough he stacked up.

Anyway....I've seen Earl play a bunch of games this season too. I love the dude. He does have a little Charlie Ward in him but is that a bad thing? Watson is not as stiff and limited ad Charlie. Watson is a big time defender and he has been clutch offensively especially last year in Memphis.

Thing with Craw....dude is supposed to be a scorer. He hasn't shown that scorer mentality in NY. He's gotten hot a few nights but not really a guy that can take over a game. Like I said he can get hot but his inpact on the game is not like when some of the great scorers in the league do it(Pierce, T-Mac)......

I dunno. It is too early to be pressing the panic button. Right now all of this is because of Larry not sticking with a rotation.......trying to give the vets a chance when the rookies are head and shoulders better.

Maybe if it were a small trade of say Malik for Watson (with some throw ins to make it work)how would you feel about it Fishy? That is more realistic and more of what I would rather do that OngBok trade.

too many small guards. We also need a shooter. Watson just doesnt fill enough needs IMO

If Nene was also included? I suppose so

If we getting Nene then the Knicks are gonna have to poop out a bigger turd that Malik Rose.

(I'll spare Martin and Andrew the poopy pics )

Crawford is a terrible basketball player what does he do well, honestly? He doesn't defend, turns the ball over, does not shot a high percentage is soft, allows his feelings to be hurt, and has never played on a winning team......

At least Watson gets after it on defense and pressures the ball up the floor, u need role players that serve a roll, Crawford next
