We can debate all we want about whether or not marbs is that superstar, but is Curry that second banana? You know, the kobe, the pippen, the magic (first), the kareem (later).

He does look unstoppable, and shaq learned how to avoid offensive fouls.

thoughts?

what is good (and bad) is that our "stars" are all so young that we can't really say. Curry, for all the expectations placed as a franchise center, is 22 years old. Instead of repeating it over and over again, let's think about that for a second. Let's just say out of sheer ability to stay on the court 5-10 more minutes and avoid offensive fouls, curry gets 20 ppg. He ups his rpg to around 8-9. There you go, you've got an almost 20-10 player. marbury is the sole concern and doesn't appear to fit in at FIRST glance because you can't wait around with him; he's nearing his peak. Potential stars out of this group could include crawford (doesn't appear to want to become a true star because for all his talent, his attitude is more tim thomas than isiah thomas). Frye looks like he might be special but we don't know yet. I like looking towards the future for once. I'm thinking that isiah will be able to continue to draft talented young guys and that at least one will be a perennial all-star type. It's bound to happen... sooner... or later..

maybe what makes a great point guard is that he the most important, but not the best player.

I don't think we necessarily need to get a superstar (don't want to say another because we don't have one right now). I think it is more important for us to develop our talent right now. If Curry becomes the player he can become, I think that makes us a hell of a lot better. Not to mention we have guys like Ariza and Frye who are showing a lot of promise. I think our number one priority right now has to be helping Curry develop into a monster. The better he becomes, the better our team instantly becomes.

I agree on that sentiment...that's LB's top priority over wins at this point, make curry a monster and crawford an effecient playmaker.

I agree with the importance of developing Curry. However, keep in mind that he has been around for a few years and his coaches must have been teaching him about the importance of rebounding, playing defense and avoiding fouls. So maybe the problem isn't that he hasn't been taught. Maybe it has to do with the space between his two ears.

Frye is a very special player, but he has to be on the court to prove how special he truly is. It is imperative for Zeke to find a trade partner as soon as possible to create room at the PF spot. We have to get rid of Rose and Taylor....if possible, trade James also.

there has to be a team in need of a scoring PF, experienced PF and shot blocking/hard fouling center
