I was on the sacremento and philly boards, 2 teams that haven't won and I reading panic panic panic!!!

Trade Igodala, trade Korver, Rick Adelmen must guy, Mo cheeks is incompetent, Mike Bibby has lost it, PANIC PANIC PANIC!!!!!!

And yet, MANY knick fans here are doing the exact same thing after 2 freaking games!!!!

Take it easy guys, Rome wasn't built in a day.

philly is in shambles.
they're team is built around an aging albeit awesome superstar.
they got $60 mil tied up on a PF with paper knees.
and just threw another $60 mil on a raw undeveloped center.
they also have money tied up in a one dimensional 3 point shooter.
and they just brought in a questionable head coach.

sacratomato is filled with ho hum players. the loss of webber will hurt them like it hurt us when we moved patrick.

i can only speak for myself and i can say that i'm not panicking. all i want is to play the young guys and to see them develop. where i really am in a state of confusion is with marbury's part in this whole process. will he fit in or should we move him out and just go with the young'n's. we saw a glimpse of our future last night - craw, nate, ariza, frye, and curry. with nate a 6th man, that's 4/5ths of a young squad that can start. is marbury the guy that'll be with them or not? i have no clue at this point.

most of it is drama for drama's sake...We were 0-2 last year and suddenly 16-13. The wizards seem to be the real deal, they just beat someone tonight (I wasn't really paying attention, flicking channels) and arenas is averaging like 30 a game.

the knick fans in my section at the game were and still are optimistic and attribute the loss to being down 19 and missed open looks at the basket and know brown will replace those that missed shots with those that will make them.

knick fans are smarter, UK (and all message board for that matter) posters are melodramatic.

Post something crazy (the sky is falling), get responses, get noticed. (more people recognize islesfan than the positive posters)

nobody that was at the game was pissed they got season tickets and everyone boo'd at the right times.

We will turn it around...I'm not concerned.

I've commented that I think people have overreacted to the early losses. However, this is a bulletin board, and it would be pretty boring around here if people didn't complain, speculate, rant, etc.

Oh - and I don't see why the average Knick fan should generally be any "smarter" (if that's the word you want to use) than any other basketball fan.

Exactly...that's why we come, if we want shiny happy we'll read the newspapers.

I jock the back and forth, most of the trades that really happen are mentioned here first.

if you can't vent on a bulletin board, where can you vent.

hopefully i didn't come off as being against bulletin board angst, just saying that in real life we as knick fans are extremely smarter than the average fan.

just check out some of the back and forths.

history.

Boston and philly fans are pretty good. Nets' fans don't even go to their games. Atlanta, don't get me started. I'd say the atlantic division has the "most knowledgeable" fans.

Nope. I *highly* doubt the average Knick fan is any smarter than the average fan of any other team and highly doubt that the average Knick message board poster is any smarter than the average message board poster of any other team. We Knick fans just like to think we're smarter

The Bucks fans are pretty ignorant...history does play a role I think. For instance, when they got Bobby Simmons or Magloire--most didn't know what the hell was going on. WIsconsin is about the Packers.

Don't worry, the great Larry Brown will get our boys moving in a few years. Or he will retire before then. Can you say payday for the twilight one? Sounded good, but I don't see this marriage working out. Too many variables with LB, Zeke and the franchise player, "Starbury".
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.
