I'd do it.

In a heartbeat. Devin Harris would be great here. KVH in limited minuted too, plus he can shoot and he rebounds well.

Interesting proposal but I actually dont think dallas would do it, devin harris has THAT much potential, also this isnt really that good of a deal for us either since there got to be a cheaper way to get a backup point.

From the Knicks perspective this trade is nice from the Dallas perspective its not. I can see them wanting to get rid of Van Horn becuase he just doesnt seem to fit in there but I don't think their itching to give up Harris even with Terry there.

I haven't seen Harris that much but he hasn't done anything impressive yet. Nate's probably already a better rebounder! Is Keith a big component of the deal to you Briggs or are you including him just to make the salaries match?

No I would play him at starting 2 guard

Are you kidding? You would play DEVIN HARRIS as your starting shooting guard on this team. Come on, harris is a 6'3'' PG with nice athleticism. You want to start a 6'2'' PG and another 6'3'' as your starting 2. How do you think we would look defensively...

At 6'3? It's bad enough that Crawford gets lit up on D by SG's that are only a inch taller then him now we're going to throw Devin Harris at 6'3 as the starting 2, thats like asking for the electric chair... AGAIN. If we haven't learned from the Crawford deal that the starting 2 for these Knicks shouldn't be a 6'5/6'6 pure SG then I don't think we ever will. NO MORE PG CONVERTED TO SG EXPERIMENTS PLEASE!

What year is the current season in? answer 2005-2006 season
What is the average height of an nba player this year? answer 6'7''
If anyone wants to throw in the height/weight of the average SG this year, please feel free to do so.
Who are you trying to make devin harris become? Iverson 2? You need to be extraordinary talented to be playing SG as a 6'3'' guy who primarily plays PG. Harris isn't exactly strong physically either.

I think the trades are all over at this time, The team really needs to settle down and start playing basketball, instead of worrying whether they will be playing traded, this team as been a revolving door of players coming and going no wonder their is no chemistry at this time. They must focus on getting the team to play as a well oiled machine and not a patched up bunch of misfits, young or old.

I like it a lot. It solves our SF problem for now (and if Keith doesn't work out, he's an FA after this year anyway). Devin is certainly NBA starter material. The only downside is that it's one of those trades that absolutely requires a follow-up trade. I don't see Devin Harris as a 2-guard and Marbury is a defensive liability as a 2-guard, so one of them has to go. I think the trade makes Marbury expendable and we might have to use him to get a big man. Other than the fact that it makes us pretty much have to trade Marbury, I like the deal a lot.

Maybe Harris has some upside but I certainly don't see acquiring a career 6/2/1 player as making an all-star, olympian PG expendable. That's a big leap IMO. Harris didn't even make Jason Terry expendable. I have nothing against getting Keith. He's a nice role player, but I'd want him playing behind Ariza, Frye, and Lee at SF/PF.

Well, you don't trade for Harris to be a backup. If we want a backup, we already have Nate. Harris was the #5 pick in the draft and he will be a good one. He's very young. Patience, remember?

I don't disagree with any of that. Harris is a gamble like flipping a coin that a team with no talent at the PG position should be considering right now. I'd rather use our assets to gamble on a player at SG, SF, or maybe PF.

I've seen Harris.

He may not even be worth Nate alone.

NO.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

Is it laughable b/c you know I prefer Marbury not to be on this team.

Or is it laughable b/c you think Harris has more potential than Nate.

B/c, "IMHO", Devin Harris is over-rated. I've seen enuff of this kid to know he's not worth giving up Lee and Nate.

Now look who is smoking the reefer!

If you saw him during preseason, Our Guards couldn't keep up with him, he is not over-rated, He is under-rated at this time !.
