I know I'm in the minority, but Derrick Coleman still has life left in him and only 1 year remaining on his contract. At 6'10", and given his girth in recent years, why would we not ask him to play C? I would give up Weatherspoon and Knight. Deal works cap-wise, upgrades us at Center, and gets rid of 2 bad contracts. It also allows us to keep KT and still make a play for Keon Clark with the mid-level exception. This would be a deep, very strong team in the post.

Any comments?

So why do you think sixers would bite on that (i.e. bad contracts)...

Because Larry Brown has always been a fan of Spoon (He had his best career years at Philly) and Travis Knight could be a good back-up for Mutombo. Knight also does all of the little things that Larry Brown likes; not afraid to hit the boards, helps out on Defense, etc. I believe that these would be decent pick-ups for a Philly franchise that lacks depth.
