it would be kenny thomas sacremento kings

LB already traded for him before, he's a better rebounder than anyone we have, and he has the kind of contract that teams want to dump on us long term for mucho dinero.

i personally would like to make that commitment to channing frye because he can block shots from the 4 and has a more versatile game, but dont be surprised by something like this

Sactown isn't looking very good right now, They very well could be looking to unload a player or two very soon, we could send JJ back to them!

good guess....

I think Larry will get at least one of his former players eventually. Kenny Thomas I wouldn't mind. Dude is a forward that can do alot of good things and he can play power ball inside or finesse you with his jumper and drives to the hoop......If he had the right team he could be a big steal.

He killed the Knicks when he was in Philly....you guys remember that game winning 3pter?

A straight up trade would be Crawford or Rose or Q for Thomas, but we really need a SF.

We do not need another PF on this team. We haven't even seen frye play a game yet.

what about Kenny Thomas and Kevin Martin for Craw and David Lee? Pretty even trade if you ask me.

Antonio Davis
Kenny Thomas
Curry
Marbs
Q

You want rebs and defense? There you go. Kenny is a good rebounder and can defend the 3-4 easy. His outside game would be a few steps ahead of what the Knicks currently have at the 3. I'd go to war with that line-up.

Kenny is not really a power fwd. I know you seen the guy play. He used to kill the Knicks in Philly and Houston. He used to bust KT's ass cuz KT could not run with Kenny.

I seriously would welcome this idea.

KT and martin are both 6'7" we would have 4 guys who are around that height with Ariza and Barnes in the mix something would have to give. I like Lee alot, he has to stay Crawfish would be a nice piece in a trade for someone like LBJ or even KG for that matter.
Getting LBJ or Garnett are long shots at best, but anything is possible with IT at the helm.

ouch! enyspree you're killing me with this kenny thomas business! a few years ago i would have agreed with you but i think he's really settled into his role and it's that of a secondary player and a tweener. guy's got skills and is fiery but i've seen him have long - really long - stretches on the court where he's not effective because he's just not skilled/big/athletic enough to pull off the things he wants to do on the court. sure there are games when he's on, but nothing consistent from what i've seen.

you want to give up david lee already? and craw in this trade?

man oh man i don't wnat to add kenny thomas and lose david lee - i'd rather lose mo a.d. and malik and play frye and lee.

I say a big no to Kenny Thomas. I think that Brown needs to play guys who are willing to play. Why add Kenny Thomas when your 8th pick got a DNP, and your other first rounder is inactive. I mean I rather have Butler be active then trade for Kenny Thomas' salary. I guess maybe this will be cleared up when either Rose is traded or whatever is going on with the AD situation clears itself up.

I feel you marv. Maybe ilm caught up in the moment but I got love for kenny's game.

Kevin Martin is a pretty good perimeter player. Him and Francisco Garcia are very similiar.

Lee is the man but with channing here, eventually we will have to entertain the idea of trading one of them. Maybe not like this anyway

I'd rather not do anything at all and lose games this season than trade for an unersized Kenny Thomas. Good player but he is undersized and we have seen enough of that here in NY for the past few years don't you think.
What happened to Travis Knight? What a waste!

Theres this thing called having Patience when a team rebuilds. Why don't we try USING SOME. The Knicks have Channing Frye, Butler, Lee all who are basically rookies on their roster, what is the point of adding a old tweener PF to this roster? The same people that scratched and clawed to get their points across that the Knicks should rebuild and quit bringing in these old Vets are now the same people saying we should go after another one. Lets get Frye and Lee on the court, Frye is going to be MUCH better then Thomas and Lee has a legit shot of doing the same as well.

They might be interested in trading Thomas for Malik Rose. Thomas's salary runs two years longer than Rose's. The trade will save a small market team some $$$$ over the long haul.

^ There's not a chance in the world.

They already have Corliss Williamson. And Malik's deal runs for 4 more years (including this season).

About K-Thom --

He's a forward that is a very good rebounder, an average defender, good FG%, but doesn't have much of an outside game.

His contract is also particularly nasty.

He doesn't give us really what we need, which is a starting SF. While he can play minutes there, he's not nearly versatile enuff to man it for 30 MPG.

Sorta tempting, but PASS.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

i wouldnt be thrilled with it either, i want to get channing in there to stay

what i did was look around to find a guy that fit a criteria for a trade

now we know that these guys throw around money like it was coming off trees

we know tht larry brown traded a number 1 pick in philly to get kT
we know that we are poor rebounders
we know that sacremento has to many PF and would probably welcome a salary dump at a repetetive position, especially if they get off real bad
they can still sell it as younger and more athletic given kt is 27-28
we know those ending contracts, particularly penny's is burning holes in their pockets
so i added up and came up with the new KT

darius miles, whatever chance we had at darius miles the last two years has officially passed for the time being. if we go back i outlined succinctly why we SHOULD go after Miles, but it never emerged

I'll give you credit for the D Miles trades proposals, you were 100% right about him. I didn't believe in Miles but he's showing so far that he's blossoming into the player everyone thought he could be when he was drafted. I think the whole league missed that boat. Question is, will Portland try to cash in on his success so far and trade him or hold onto him and build around him, Zach, Telfair, Webster.

^ They def. wanna resign Pryzbilla.

So IMO...their only choice is to find a way to trade Ratliff + Patterson (which will be damm near impossible)...

ORRR.... trade Ratliff + Miles....which is considerably easier, b/c Miles has solid value now. Maybe they should cash in now as opposed to later.

They need to free up close to 20 Million in order to concievably resign Pryz. I think in a month or so they'll be more open to trading Darius depending on how Webster and Outlaw are playing.
