What about Frye as Substitute to Curry instead of Jerome James????

James wasn't able to give us anything last night...but Frye could have stepped in and backup Curry especially when Curry was breathing hard on the court. Why not experimenting with that option? we will still a go to guy when Curry is not on the court and Frye can be just that. Did any of you notice how unorganize we looked when Curry wasn't on the court????

well he did have 4 points and a rebound but way too many fouls. anyway it was just the first game brown will probably play frye ahead of james next game or the game after that if james keeps racking up fouls

I am affraid that Brown will much rather activate Buttler instead of having Frye in there as Center. However, it is a mistake, because Frye in the game along with AD is a pretty good combo. Either of the 2 can actually assume the Center spot while on the court together.

why would he play butler instead of frye? butler didnt have a better preseason than frye did unless larry just wants to avoid playing rookies by any means necesary, which hopefully he isnt insane enough to do. also I think JJ should be given some more chances to prove himself, before he gets axed for frye/butler. I thought he was doing an okay job out there until he started fouling on every possesion.

Great idea - let's put Game on the bench for insurance - get Frye or Butler out there.

I am not advocating to totally not play big James, infact, I want him still active, because he will need to get his legs under him...However, since he is only able to give us 8 minutes so far, Frye can definitely step in and contribute a lot more than what James can give us. instead of playing Rose or Curry 30+ minutes, we can still get the same production if not more with a rotation of Curry, AD, James and Frye at the center spot.

It depends on the matchups, but it has been reported that Brown, as most people, see Frye as a 4. I think Brown would use Davis at 5 before using Frye there. We need James to help us and be the defensive presence we need him to be. Frye can have all the time he wants at PF once Brown gives up on the idea of using Rose. Davis won't play a lot for the rest of the season, and Mo T won't play starter minutes so Davis starts to get the game going and Mo T and Frye will back up. Its a matter of when. Frye is no Darko...

that is why it is imperative to do a trade. We have too many freaking PFs, and we have to get rid of one of them..

I would rather play James than Rose. That's who shouldn't be taking Frye's minutes.

did you watch the game? rose played all 5 of his minutes at SF when barnes, ariza and Q were all in foul trouble.

if you had said, there's no good reason for mo or JJ to be playing ahead of him, i'm with you.
