i mean all we heard from him all summer was that he didn't know who the point guard was or how steph and craw would play or where they would play. he didn't know from possession to possession what he would do.

and all of this was made public via the media.

so i ask you all this, by having that debate in a public forum, did he put some undue pressure on steph and jamal?

would it have been more understandable if he just kept his mouth shut and just kept that whole debate out of the spotlight? or would that have been impossible to do in nyc?

Personally, I doubt it's that deep. Larry Brown puts pressure on all his guards. He can ease up on the pressure when we win an NBA Championship.

As far as the media, they're playing it up so we can rush to read the next episode of that drama in their paper, magazine, etc.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

i agree, the media has played it up BIG TIME this entire summer.
but don't you think our players read that stuff, especially the young guys and that it could possibly effect them in a negative way?

The point guard is the captin of the ship, with out a good solid fundamental pg your team will suffer. They guide the show, they make the plays for themselves and others, they control the tempo.

What undue pressure, we all know none of our guards play the position properly. Although in some aspect of it all a guard (IMO) should be able to play both sg and pg when ever called upon ( correctly). Just like a sf should be able to shift to PF same thing with a pf and center. The Days of a one demsional players are done with and have been for about 10 years, even more so now.

Snow is a solid pg and good defender, but he has a very low offensive IQ almost as bad as Wards, and that can hurt just as bad, as we have witness this for years wih the Knicks. Steph and Craw just need some solid pg teaching, and once Larry gets under there skin your bound to see a change in both of them.
