-Curry looked very good & then he looked very tired. Are FT problems going to be a problem with this guy?
-AD. Not bad. But Frye needs to get 20 minutes a night.
-Mo. Are we show-casing this bum? Is that worth our kids losing PT? I don't think so.
-Ariza makes things happen. Stick with him.
-Barnes is a keeper.
-Craw. Oh boy. I've been of the mind of..."give this guy the benifit of the doubt, because of his youth & upside" but he just seems clueless about how to play the game. Furthermore, he seems passion-less.
-Q. Nice shooting. Did he get benched due to fatigue?
-Nate. Other than the ill-advised top of the key shot in the 4th quarter, he had a nice debut.
-Marbs. F-in free throws. Come on guy, win the game, it was right there for the taking. Stars are supposed to win these toss-up games.

Positives: Good first half re: offense. Curry looked like he will be a serious force. Excellent defense for the most part.
Negatives: Obvious stuff....rebounding, FT's, Craw's 2nd half & OT were just abysmal, not playing Frye. Jerome James looks downright awful.

Ariza needs to stop missing breakaway dunks.

It looked like Ariza was worrying about not dribbling the ball off of his foot when he blew that dunk.

Its funny how people just keep repeating the same thing about Mo, yet he was one of the best players we had out there and the one that kept us in the game when the Celtics had gotten the lead. He had a strong game, both offensively and defensively, and if he keeps playing this way, it will be hard not to play him...

The thing is I trust that LB has been seeing things in practice that made him feel this was the best group to use right now. LB said that he would use the kids, but in the beginning he'd rely on the vets. We have to be patient and realize that LB is still in the early stages of gettting this team to play his way. The rebounding by the guards or lack thereof is something he'll work on right away.

The TO's is another story. I think JC is just out of his comfort level with how he's being asked to play. He needs to make up his mind that he's going to either score of pass, but no more of this hesistant half way between a pass and a shot that he keeps doing. He just hasn't mastered the skill of attacking the defense with a purpose. JC needs to learn to use the pull up jumper sometimes and from that he can setup the bigs once he draws attention. I feel that he will eventually get it. We have to be patient.

Crawford isn't the problem. This guy can give us 20, 30 and a few 40 point games. There isn't a guy on this team that doesn't take ill-advised shots. Free throws and rebounding were the main prob, had they done those things competently there would have been no overtime. I agree that Frye and should get some minutes, Ariza should get more time also. Mo Taylor can score inside and outside.
This team is a work in process and I think it will take 20 to 30 games before we see some consistancy.

Not sure if we watched the same game. I thought ariza looked bad in the 1st half , better in the 2nd but def. needs consistent mins.

Craw looked bad but he looked much better in pre-season. I think he was shocked at not starting. He will get better.

Q? did you see the ice pack on his back? I'm sure it stiffenend up, which really hurt us.

Nate- I didn't think think he had a good game, maybe 1st game jitters but he'll be fine.

Rose looked awful.
fishmike 9/27/2024 11:00 PM Ug I hate this. The idea of Towns is great until you see what a pussy he is. Jules is a dog. DD was a flamethrower locked up cheap for 3 more years. First Leon move I hate
