Nate Robinson is sooooooooooooooooooooooo over-rated.

He is a 5-7 2 guard for crying out loud!!!!!

I am almost ready to start not liking him the way he is hyped here.

He really is not a very good player, he is unbelievably athletic, and because he is so small, everything he does seems extraordinary and in its own way it is, but please stop with this talk of Nate running the point among other things. He is definitely the worst PG on our team behind Penny Hardaway.

And he has a long way to go before he can truly be effective for more than 10 mpg.

Nate can play....

you talk about his fundamentals, but the kid can shoot, he can hit FT's and he has a feel for the game. Also his heart is bigger than 5'9.. can't teach heart..

he is hyped because people love his style of play and hustle..

He is not a very good player yet, but how many rookies are?

i dont know about unpopular, rather, this is one of the leading stupid posts of the year. the guy played great in SL, he played very very well in pre-season, hes a warrior-- hes an intangible player, he brings heart toughness, he brings a lot off the bench with a LOT of potential and by golly, the guy has YET to play 1 nBA game and he is over-rated. the same cat who says bogut stinks before his first NBA game also claims nate stinks

you seem to be critical of everything, yet you seem to have very little knowledge of the game. chill out dude

I never said anything crtical of Lampe, quite the opposite. He's hurt right now[happen to follow the whole nBA] but NO is very high on him, and one of the reasons they dumped Magliore. Show me one post where i was critical of lampe.

There is a reason why many analysts have Nate winning the ROY even though he isn't supposed to play with Brown in. Nate is a great player in the making. He mayn not be playing at his best right now because Brown is demandind specific things from him that he may not be accustomed to do. But like the coach said, he is learning. Nate will prove his nickname right in a couple of seasons. Let him develope!

I like Nate. I think there is a bit of hype around him (for instance, is he really more ready than Lee is?) But hype is a part of the NBA.

Well I guess since I disagree with you, I have very little knowledge of the game.

This from the guy who said that Avery Johnson was a better choice over Larry Brown after oh-about 5 pre-season games. If you wanna go for stupidest post of the year, your post is overly qualified.

Lots of players tear up SL and preseason and end up sucking.

I said I don't care for the game of a rookie who I think is over-rated. Whether i am wrong about that or not remains to be seen.

But when you question a coach who has won in college and in the NBA and has turned around every franchise he has coached, who is already solidly in the HOF, YOU, my friend, qualify for the stupidest post of the year. Ok, Briggy.

I don't know if LB is the right coach for this team . He's a hall of fame coach, that doesn't necessarily mean he was the right guy for this particular job. I think that can be reasonably interpretated. Saying a guy blws before he even plays one game, both with Bogut and Nate is just flat out ignorant, but you seem to be an ignorance specialist. Now don't spend to much time digging up a post of mine from 3 years ago where I called someone a booger or something, you can spend your time more constructively I'm sure. Go make some paper airplanes or something

If Nate is overhyped.....than so is Earl Boykins.

Except the reality of it is that the Nuggets take it into 2nd gear when he's on the floor....and the same is true for us with Big Nate.

Once he gets that medium-range jumper down.....ITS OVER.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

Okay, let me see if I get this.

Questioning a hall of fame coach after 5 preseason games= Reasonable

Questioning a talented rookie after 5 preseason games= Ignorant

Not knowing how to quote after nearly 5000 posts on a message board= Priceless!!!

You are not much of a critical thinker are you? Look at what you say about LB, and what I say about Nate. I didn't say he sucks or is untalented, I said he is over-rated and has a long way to go to be effective for more than 10 mpg. Those are damn near facts.

I don't wanna go back and forth with insults. Learn to read critically. I was critical of Nate and in response to that, you respond with insults and personal attacks, like he's your brother or something. Get a life. My favorite player is Steph, do I insult people for making negative remarks about him? No, I don't, I try to argue my point as logically as posssible. Stop being so emotional.

bobs i knew it would happen after 1537 tries - i agree with you!!!!

boykins is a perfect example, i see a lot of ben gordon in him, bobby jackson from several years back with sacramento. a guy like nate is priceless.

he goes up to a guy in the 4th quarter and traps him in the backcourt for an 8 second count!!! takes the team from 8-10 down with 2 minutes left and wills them into a tie!!! changes the whole pace and tone of a game. forces the other team to adjust to him - worry abut getting picked, worry about getting blown by. i think he's terrifically talented and you want him to retain some of the recklessness because it truly is what gets him over people. channing could use a little more of that.

This is a great thread. I agree with Killa. I love Nate's heart and desire but he does not look like a PG and does not have the size to play SG. He looks like an energetic bench player right now (who can still change some games).

this is one of the leading stupid posts of the year
You know you said about 2 or 3 months ago that our team's entire future depended on Channing Frye. Where does that thread now rank? (You also declared him a "bust" after foul trouble in two summer league games.) You then changed it to the entire future depending on Eddy Curry. 2 months from now, what player that we currently don't have will our future depend on? We all have mistake threads (although I don't think this is one) and some opinions that seem quite poor in retrospect. There's nothing wrong with having a little modesty and realizing that you (like me) are not a professional expert rather than forgetting your own mistakes and calling someone else's thread the dumbest of the year.

Modesty is impossible for him.

SAR is a Net. Its a done deal, remember that? LOL!!!

Honestly, he should try to be less of a jerk, and try to be a little less sensitive.

Afterall, didn't I just post some Bynum pictures for him? You would think that those pics and little cocoa butter would have occupied him for a good little while.

Guess not.
