Sorry, I don't want to be one of those guys who posts 10 new topics every hour but thought people would like to know:
- he likes our size and length. Likes our ability to defend the goal. Curious to see how young players develop and how veterans mix with rookies.
- chemistry has been good on and off the court. Off the court chemistry has been a little bit ahead of on the court. Most players are around same age.
- Hard to judge Nate from the preseason. Q will help defensively because of his size.
- Win championships by playing inside out. Curry will help that. This team is similar to when he arrived in Indy. Was a perimiter oriented team that switched to a power game with O'neil and Artest. This Knicks team is now more of a power team.
- Isiah won't comment on deals or friction between he and LB. That stuff is for media to sell stories.
- Isiah has had a relationship with LB since 1978. Never had any friction.
- NJ is battle tested and know how to win. Boston has Pierce and Davis. When they have it clicking, they're as good as anyone in the division.
- Want the Garden to be a hot place, where teams have a hard time winning a game. Has to be a hostile environment for opponents.
- Thinks Cleveland, Indiana, Miami all got better. NJ will be better if the big three stay healthy. Winning and losing in the East will come down to 4 or 5 points. It will be a dogfight every night.
- Doesn't want to be embarrased like last year. Hope that Knicks will be better defensively, rebounding wise and a tough team. He though we were soft last year. He hated it last year. His wife hated it. His kids hated it, etc.
Snore.
boring interview.

Those are the answers you want to hear, IMHO. Don't see why that makes it boring.

Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

It's boring b/c it's the same ol' crap they say everytime. I could care less about interviews anymore. I just wanna see them win games and see how the team improves in the direction it's headed towards.

That was the first time I heard him talking about winning championships by starting the offense on the inside (Curry or Q posting) and then going back out to the perimeter

Yeah, but that's basic basketball knowledge. If you have post up options, you need to do that. Like I said though, the problem is we don't have many real real real reliable shooters and that's how the inside out game works. It's good to post Q up, but remember, he's a 3 pt threat. If you're gonna put him in the post, we need another shooter out there. A healthy Allan would have taken this team light years further than we are now.

For a while people were talking about him being too guard focussed (running the offense through Marbury and Crawford while ignoring Sweetney's claimed low-post skills).

Well, they definitely should have been running it through Sweetney more, but Curry is a lot more established and a hell of a lot more bigger and athletic, so it's more of a given. My worries about Curry is him refusing to pass.

I have to agree with Bonn here. I'm happy to see the focus shifting a bit.
