NFLhas the "superbowl"
NHL has the "stanley cup finals"
MLB has the "world series"
NCAA mens ball has "the final Four"

NBA has "The Finals"?

Thats lame!

The O'brian trophy will never be as cool as "Lord Stanly's Cup"! How can the NBA spice up the playoffs and finals?

i actually like the nba finals its plain and its right look at mlb world series? no there are teams around the world that play baseball next superbowl are you playing in a bowl thats big and if you never new the sport you wouldnt know wtf this is and nhl stanley cup why would i want to play for some guy named stanly with a cup common nba finals is good

Basketballs are larger than the balls used in any of the other sports that you mentioned. When you have the biggest balls, you don't need a lot of grandiose verbiage to extol the main event.

World series is the American arrogant Imperialistic tendancy to overstate our importance in such areas as lend itself toward our post victorian isolationaist views that anyting not concerning us is of no importance. Thus, any team outside north america could possibly compete with our Lilly White flour rosters. The Negro leagues were excellent and only a matter of time before the public would require the white champ to play the Negro league champ. Latin americans too were added as there dominance is considerabe. Far be for any non american team to win teh world series, so we must make sure we extract the best players and play them here.

cuba for a while might have been able to unseat an american team.

Hence, the World series is a farce!
