How ridiculous for people to predict the "Most improved player" award. So stupid. Almost by definition, it is the player that surprises us the most by their improvement.
I don't think it is stupid to predict the most improved player, there are situations which lend themselves to rapid improvement, such as a position opening up, growing, putting on muscle, working on your J.
"Most surprising player" would seem to me to be a somewhat different category, though the most surprising player could possibly be the most improved player or vice-versa.
Some of the players picked for most improved player strike me as ridiculous, such as Chris Weber, or T.J. Ford, who did not even play last season.
