Since our team can carry 15 players but only have 12 players active for any game--who's going to be the three inactive players? For the Boston game I would have to say JJ, Lee, and Penny if Q is healthy enough to play.

Why in the WORLD would you bench Lee?

DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

I wouldn't. I think Larry will go with the veterans right away. How much did Lee play against the Nets?

Unfortunately I think Lee's on the outside looking in until the PF situation thins out a little. Dont be suprised to see Big Lame James inactive, too.

Rose needs to be showcased, so I think he'll be starting on opening day

AD will be the PF/C backup, with Mo T and Channing getting spot minutes
David f'n Lee for President!!

Lee, Rose and Jackie Butler.

Penny needs to be showcased, Matt Barnes is the only 3 with a jumper, and MO T is our best scorer at PF....for now.

Why in the world would we need to showcase Penny for? He is an expiring contract. He can be moved without problem.

Butler, Penny and Rose will be inactive....

My thoughts exactly. Dido, you're starting to scare me. I've agreed with you twice in the space of a week.

Moe Taylor is the easy one. Penny is easy. Lee is easy.

Nobody is going down.

But someone gotta stay in street clothes!

Could be lame James, Penny, and Lee.

Its a game to game thing.

Too much depth? Perhaps we need to make a 2 for 1 trade to upgrade a player and reduce head count. What's the point of having players that don't play?

Well, why not? if the league is allowing a team to have 15 players, we should take advantage of that.

The inactive roster will consist of Nate, Lee and Taylor.

Because inactive players --> don't play! Even 11th and 12th players don't see the floor much.
Better to trade some of our chips for a single good player that can make an impact.

But you can change the inactive list for each and every game. I think you will see a lot of shuffling depending on the matchup. For instance, against the Celtics, you definitely keep Penny, Barnes, Ariza available to guard their wing players. Maybe bench JJ, Jackie and Lee. I think it will change on a game by game basis. I don't like it, but it seems to be the way Larry is leaning.

Still those players 11-15 are not going to make a big impact our teams performance.
Possibly we might have to stick some rookies there for future use, but vets there
are just a waste. Better to thin out the ranks.

I was the closest!!!

The answer is Lee, Penny and Butler.

I was way off base with the Penny-showcase idea, and Dido got that part right.
But I was right about everything else.

We are a really deep team.
