i believe that with the right cast of characters on the court allowed to play a little more free flow--with the same emphasis of R+D, we can win. this guy is making it sound like we have a 25 win team.

i just wonder if a coach that was mid road with solid cred--like an avery johnson--wouldve made more sense at larrys age and health.
saying stuff like maybe stephon will start, i mean come on or that jamal and nate can handle back up PG--its not true

i think the TOs have come from the players hesitating from all the new reads they have--it looks like steph is lost--if he was able to free flow--move the ball in and out etc.. i think the talent level would show more, with more cohesion

Larry just need to relax...He is overteaching our kids...I love him as a coach, but he will have to relax a bit to see what our boys can really do. I was watching James play the other day, he and Marb look so out of place on the court,,,,,they are trying really hard, but they are not getting any success. Larry will have to take it easy a bit on those boys...he will have to.

Larry is a winner, and that the type of team we want to be. But we are far from it because this isn't an NBA Live game you can just count on ratings to get the wins. This team has a lot of talent, but it is far from a basketball team. That doesn't mean they will never be one, or that they can't win while they learn. But the truth is that Larry knows how to coach and how to win in this league, and thats what he is trying to wo here. He may be frustrated because the truth is most of the players he has are either too young or weren't well developed when they came to the league. If he is so down on this team its because he knows they are not fundamentaly sound, don't take good care of the ball and sometimes disappear on defense. He is up to the challenge, but he will make it clear his team is not there yet where he wants them to be to lower expectations. Thats fine with me because I know that he will still make the Knicks a winner even if he doubts it.

Larry is the perfect coach for this team. There is no doubt about it...

What is the problem now? Ok, this team is a damm mess! This is what he expected, and what we should also! Its gonna take time to do it right!

For those who asked for a rebuild, this is it guys, youth takes time. We will get some vet leadership guys on the cheap but unless further noticed we are going in this direction.

Maybe we turn reezy into MIles, but I hope not!

Maybe we dont' make playoffs, but if you want a solid core, and a run it may take 3 years!

Come on guys, you guys reading too much into too many things and I can see the patient thing is all talk!

I was wondering the same thing. Is there anything Isiah or Larry could ever do or say that *wouldn't* indicate Marbury was a disaster that they were desparately trying to get rid of?

BRIGGS, LB is perfect for us, we have a long way to go to get to a championship and thats where he wants to take us. So he isn't happy with a winning season or a playoff berth, he wants a championship team, and until we get close to becoming one, he will not be happy with us and will not have alot of great things to say about the team.

You have seen the games and how guys have played. Not that there weren't bright spots, but we are a long way from a being a good team. We've got alot of learning to do, and I think thats all he really means. Its an uphill battle and don't expect the ECF this year, until these guys learn to play his way.

No gray area: IT capping NY out until 09 and giving up 2 picks in the process for Marbury will prove to be extremely smart or extremely stupid. IT hitched himself and NY to the success of Steph. He bought a little time by getting Curry and Brown. But if Brown feels he can't reach Steph, 1 of the 2 is gone. As coach starved and success starved as NY has been, no way IT can let that goner be LB.

I was going to say the thing about the girlfriend but I think it is more of "he didn't sign an autograph for me." Most Ewing haters I met usually give me that as the "third" excuse as why they don't like Ewing. That's the same reason why I hate Halle Berry (she never returned my phone calls).

I agree with most of this. I think Larry is trying to win now with a roster that needs to play through mistakes. I don't know if Larry can handle letting these guys play through all the mistakes they will naturally make in their development. Someone needs to tell Larry it's not about winning this season, it's about getting the future of our club some valuable minutes. I really wish Mo Taylor, Rose and Penny weren't even on the roster.

I think JVG would be sayin the exact same stuff as LB if he came back to coach right now - In fact, look for JVG to back Larry's point when interviewed about it. The million-dollar checks will be earned this season and next, that's for sure. I think the players will adjust as long as the FANS show their love and don't dog the team when it's going through growing pains!
