As the preseason has come to a close I have come to the conclusion that I really like what i've seen from our newly organized squad. I have no doubt that LB has done the prudent thing by investigating every option with our lineup. Potentially, Isiah has done imo his best job yet in corralling talent. Now it's just time for the team on paper... to put it out on the floor.
Curry was an out and out steal. Although i'm still licking my wounds over letting Sweetney go I cannot deny that Curry appears to have the potential to be a monster inside. And, who said this kid doesn't have any defense. It looks to me like he just needs to get in shape (he's about one month away imo). When he swatted that VC shot away I thought I was looking at a volleyball match.

Our main weakness appears to be at the swing position (whether 2 or 3). We don't have a player for the most part that's a threat to score at will (ala, VC/RJ). I love Ariza but imo it'll be 3 years before he could put the ball in the hole on that kind of scale. Can Q fit that bill for us? Well the jury is still out on him but nevertheless it's our only major glaring weakness.
Last but not least, I don't know about it but I just got a feeling that Isiah is trying to work a deal where we send one of our bigs (i.e. AD or Rose) and an expiring (i.e. AD or Penny) for : Darius Miles and believe it or not (and I haven't been smoking)...one Mr. Sebastian Telfair (noticed he didn't play last night).
Poppycock, no doubt about it ......but, if it could happen....hmmm. We'd resolve our wing and backup point guard situation.
Wouldn't that be a blast.
