I think the midwest division is now the best in Basketball

Indy, Detroit, Milwaukee, Chicago and Clevelend

The east has also improved over all and I believe the balance of power has shifted. The powerhouse teams have faded a bit (dallas, Minny, Lakes,) while SA, Hou, and PHX remain the strongest.

While SA is the team to beat, the East Is not deeper thant he wast thru the top 8 teams.

Bound to happen.

THe knicks are also no long the door mats any more.

I agree, while the West still has some elite teams, I think the power has shifted so much that the East is just as good as the West overall, if not better. Even looking at our own division, the Atlantic Division isn't a joke anymore. When Iverson and Webber are finally healthy at the same time, Philly might have a hell of a team. The Nets are already a very good team with three all-stars on the wing. As for us, we certainly won't be a pushover any more.
