Successful Scenario
Due to New York and Sacramento being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. New York and Sacramento had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

nope. Corliss and malik are a wash, we lose a shot blocking center and a backup combo guard.

no doubt

its a nice idea, but we get even thinner at the guard. Peja is nice, but he is also the cornerstone of that team and I think they will resign him. We already need a backup point. Being Crawless makes us two down. I like nate, but he is not ready for prime time. And I don't want to rely on a 5'9 guard no matter how crazy his vertical is.

C = CURRY
PF = FRYE
SF = PEJA
SG = Q
PG = MARBS

BENCH

C = BUTLER
PF = LEE
SF = BARNES
SG = ARIZA
PG = NATE

IR = WILLIAMSON ( 1yr on contract )
SKINNER ( 2 yrs on contract )

We decrease the payroll, have expiring contracts, move the big contracts of JJ & Rose. Sac will do it because they can't resign PEJA next year.

C = JJ
PF = MILLER
SF = ABDUL-RAHEM
SG = BONZI
PG = BIBBY
6th man - Craw and Rose for insurance

So they still have a good lineup.

PENNY can be our backup PG if you have no confidence in NATE. Besides i think LB is going to make PENNY the backup PG anyway.

why can't they resign peja? The malouf brothers I think have as much money as anyone out there.

Now, if the deal was something like JC, Frye or Ariza, & filler, perhaps it gets done. Peja is an All Star. He isn't being traded for what is essentially a straight up JC for Peja deal.

Theres no way that the Kings do this trade. Peja is one of the best shooters and best 4's in the NBA. It sounded like last year when they traded Webber that they were doing it to appease Peja, who they felt was out of position as a 3 and wanted to move him to the 4 and resign him.

I don't want Peja. How many times does that guy have to come up empty in the playoffs before people learn his game won't take a team anywhere.

True- but one of these playoffs he is going to put it together.

I'd love to have him on the team- you put him weak side with Curry in the post and the knicks could probably dominate any team out there- offensively.

I'm sure the Kings wouldn't mind getting RAPED by the Knicks.

Let's get real.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

I'm afraid Solace is right. Peja is exactly what we need, and this is by far killing the Kings. They don't even need Crawford with Bibby and Cuttino on that team.

You guys are saying we get raped by this trade? I say you're crazy.

So know one thinks that the Kings wouldn't like to have JJ and Miller in the lineup together to battle Duncan & Yao ?? Oh well my bad.

Lock this...

DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

They're not gonna give up someone who was a top 5 MVP candidate 2 years ago to get Jerome James. You can't be serious
