Mo T and Rose or other old useless players can't guard CV either. People were only talking about giving up our useless players for him.

there is no player that we have that is worse than theo--that equates us to take on 12mm per for 3. and mo taylor is a pretty decent player--he played well for us down the stretch last yera and hes played well in pre-season hes a real PF and he has a few solid years in him. theo is done today

Theo still blocks 2 to 4 shots a game. Mo T does nothing.

has anyone who actually wants Theo seen him play anytime in the last two years? he's awful now. Antonio Davis is in much better shape. Play AD, Frye, Curry, Lee and a sprinkle of Big Game and we'll be fine at the 4 and 5.

Ratliff can't rebound.....he never could. He can block some shots but.....that can only get you so far if you can't do anything else. Knicks need to trade Rose to Philly for Mash somehow!!! All the Knicks need are expiring deals. The Knicks have alot of talent.

taking one minute of time away from lee, butler, frye for theo ratliff is a crime. look how BAD Portland is--why would we want to add huge salary for a player who is dead on shot. someone who says mo taylor isnt as good as theo ratliff doesnt watch basketball --ratliff is shot dont let portland out of their whole with that sht contract--let them suffer when they haveto pay Joel P next year--so they are maxed out all over the place--the portland arseholes are a bunch of arrogant idiots from their owner to their fans--i hope isiah just goes with what we have unless it something like patterson for malik

I truly cannot see Ratliff even being considered to tell you the truth.

We're in no position to trade garbage for garbage. No point. Just let Mo T expire. Besides, as the other poster said, no need to take minutes away from Lee, Frye and even Curry. I'd rather have Rose than Ratliff anyway. Better overall player and his presence is more valueable in the lockerroom. Better veteran. Pointless trade. We gave a lot of money this Summer to garbage anyway (James) so why continue?

If we go for ANY of their bigs, I would much rather have Travis Outlaw anyway.

I wasn't even saying I want Theo. I'm not really sure. At this point, I'd probablyrather see how our young guys can do. I was just trying to explain things from the other point of view when I said "People were only talking about giving up our useless players for him."

I think we can put these Theo rumors to rest for now. Every rumor right now that includes us trading with the Blazers only mentions how we are looking for a SF like Miles or Patterson. I don't think Isiah will give in and just take back Theo's contract in exchange for Penny's.

We need to leave this team as it is now. Give this group a chance to jell. Malik is a good player to have around for the young guys. We don't need any more malcontent's around here (Miles). Isiah seriously needs to stop going after every guy that has any link to Chicago.

You're right. A lot of Isiahs trades have been questionable, but if we were to do a trade like that, I'm sure Isiah would demand a future unconditional first round pick or a guy like Outlaw, or something in that area. I don't think he would only settle crap for crap. Hopefully he learned that lesson in the Taylor trade.

i actually like that idea, to get Jamal's ending contract, but that could also hurt us in the process, trading him to a conference team which we will have to face atleast 4 times a year, but that would be a nice trade that could open another spot for a backup PG

I agree with Briggs completely. Theo is done. 3 years at his salary? Insane. We shouldnt take on anybody over 2 years in my opinion. Allow Shandon's contract to run out, and any others. Thats my opinion. THe only way is if they take on Malik Rose and Jerome James. I wouldnt mind Theo being the backup C and the salaries work out.

Exactly, I think thats why there is no deal right now. Portland is probably trying to swap Ratliff for Penny as part of the deal (which is understandable for them). But, I just don't think Isiah would make this mistake again, or at least I hope so.

this trade I like...with the emergence of our young bigs and the acquiring of Curry, James is backup C IMHO.

Theo would be a backup as well, and the salaries match and Rose would be happy, cause he's not going to see much court here.

no doubt
