to me it looks like something that could be reality at the end of the year. i think teams like denver and houston could actually outpace SA, but its likely they end up seed 2-3

miami always did not like antoine walkers game couldnt believe what they paid him, they got slower, the lost perimeter shooting and their two main players shaq and wade are injury prone watch out for a collapse from the heat--riley coach within 20 games

wade injury prone? what are you talking about briggs? he's in his early 20s and built like arock and has never missed games for extended time. Whats with these bold predictions?

well, he missed 21 games his first year and 5 or 6 last year, thats a good deal of games for a young guy. i dont like the combination of jason williams antoine walker and way to many questionable young players--theyll look good in some games, but i can see huge letdown from this squad

which is why they won't win it all but they'll still be a top 4 team in the regular season maybe even one of the 1st two seeds if everything goes right

I'm w/ Briggs -- to a point -- on this one. I think Miami made questionable moves this off-season and is getting way too much credit in the press. If Shaq had been healthy, they would have won last season, so they should have tweaked things a little, not blown it up.

I think they'll move backwards. Last year, they had a squad where it was crystal clear what everyone's role was. Maybe they could have used one other player with a serious offensive game for the 2nd unit, but they had Shaq and Wade surrounded by just the knid of players you'd want to surround them with for the 1st unit. A rebounder/defender, and a couple of shooters.

In Walker, Payton and Williams, they've added 3 guys who aren't effective w/o the ball in their hands, don't play 'D' (Payton's doesn't have it anymore), and aren't going to be effective as 3rd, 4th and 5th options. Posey's a good pick-up, but imo they've moved backwards this year. All that said, Shaq and Wade assure at least 2nd round of playoffs (unless hurt).

I agree but the presense of Shaq and Wade alone make them a great regular season team

San Antonio wont take a step back, popovitch just doesnt care about the preseason, theyll be as good as every during the regular season, I cant neceasrily say the same about the heat, there still a top 3 team in the east but unlike san antonio they werent smart enough to just tweak their roster, they revamped it. I dont think that was a good idea cuase even though they have more individual talent I think their ability to function as a team decreased, add that to shaq's steady decline and I dont think they're buy any means a lock to win the championship or the east.

Idk guys, if they actually bring Antoine off the bench as planned, I think he will a great weapon off the bench and I don't think there will be chemistry problems for the Heat. If Antoine starts, then I can't see it working out as well.
