NY Post-10/26
"It's crazy," the Knicks guard said before last night's 80-71 preseason victory over the 76ers. "I was about to ask him a question. Crawford never got the query out. He knew what I was about to ask and he already had the answer for it. He's always two steps ahead of everyone else.

"That's why he's the best out there," Crawford said. "He didn't have to hear what I had to say."

And so will Steph-that's why the Knx are back in the Playoffs this year. Then-who knows

I was happy to see that last night. Steph's was playing much tighter on D, and most of Craw's shots were within the flow of the offense. When he doesn't jack up stupid shots he really is an effective scorer with a pretty accurate jumper.

Craw played some solid solid ball yesterday. He was rebounding and defending. And with those long arms of his, he really got in the face of his offensive player.

I think the key to the season is Craw and Marb and how much they defend and rebound.

We have very talented backcourt. Best case scenario is they are maturing and are willing to learn and be a part of a winning team. They got the money.

I was SOOO impressed with J Craw last night. He ran the offense with a grace I did not see at all last year. Everything was in the flow, except maybe one shot. He seemed so smooth and confident.

The most impressive thing is how he would go to the bench and Larry would tell something to him, or yell at him, and he was listening like a kid on the first day of high school basketball practice. He just had this look like "Teach me teach me."

Very exciting. I think Jamal and Stephon have the potential to be one of the better backcourts in the NBA.

Scary but true. It's all about the defense and playing within the team for those 2. The potential is there.

yep and when you compare how these guys played defense under Lenny and Herb to the way they are playing under Larry. The sky is the limit for them!

Yup. I think our guards looks better this pre-season due to the fact that our frontline has been upgraded in that layups are actually contested.

Craw is still very skinny. Did he even work out during the summer? Maybe he's like Reggie Miller and can't bulk up.

Nevertheless, I have to admit that he's been a real pleasant surprise. I love hearing that he's really learning the game under LB. Guess I'll have to eat craw. I was an advocate of trading Craw for some junk in the past....

If he can become a "play the right way" "drive & dish" type of PG with good defensive skills by the beginning of next season(06/07), I don't think anyone would label him as an "overpaid" player anymore. In other words, another homerun by Isiah.

If they listen to Brown, they will be as good as the duo of Arenas and Hughes were last season.
The most impressive thing is how he would go to the bench and Larry would tell something to him, or yell at him, and he was listening like a kid on the first day of high school basketball practice. He just had this look like "Teach me teach me."
