Detroit
Indiana
Miami

Every other team including NJ is a team we have a fighting chance against in a a 7 game series. NJ plays so well together, and are coached very well and have 3 potential all-stars, but they're all guards, if we dictate the flow of the game, we can beat them.

Washington & Chicago will be tough to beat too, and Orlando will have an improved Dwight Howard which should be very scary, but we CAN beat them all, and we have a better coach, and most of all, we have an inside out game + 2 dynamic guards, None of these teams have any semblence of an inside out game, we should beat them.

Indiana
Detroit
Miami
NJ
NEW YORK KNICKS BABY!!!!!

and who cares who's below us. We will play NJ in the first round and vengence will be ours!!!!!

The best part is that our front line might be really physical and the Nets open court players will not like that. If we play in the low post and dont have that many missed opportunites they wont run. I remember how most Knick fans on this forum were amazed with Nenad Krstic and his post moves. This guy has nothing on Curry. I am very optimistic about this season.

Lebron's team is all no D. They are talented, but it will still take excellent coaching from Mike Brown (who is unproven) and good defense from them all. We should be able to beat them.

And we will be fighting for spots 4-8 not 6-8.

Lebron James is a average to poor defender. I know he is King James and all that, but come one, Defense is not his strong point, have you watched him play? Did you see Tayshaun Prince embarass him?

Larry Hughes is very regular when it comes to D, he just get props because he gets alot of steals which come from over playing the passing lanes. That is not Man-on D, and Man-on D is what i am referring to.

Eric Snow is a tough defender, we can agree on that.

Lebron avg'd 7 rebs and 2.2 stls a game and Larry Hughes averaged 6.7 rebs and 2.9 stls being average to poor.I hate to see how they are going to do with a defensive minded coach and playing next to a an all-defensive team caliber point guard.

Creating turnovers and limiting second shots is a huge key to the success of team defense

I won't discount them, but I won't count them either, TJ ford has to show me he is healthy, redd we know he can score, but simmons and mason scare no one, and Bogut so far has shown me that he is no more of a factor than Dan Gadzurich at this point...

I guess rebounds and Steals prove that they can play defense?

There is not a stat for being able to guard your man, and that is all I am talking about. Steals and rebounds are nice, but I am talking about stopping the guy in fronT of you and that is not something
that Lebron James or Larry Hughes do with any great deal of success. Eric Snow does do that though.

You act as if they were the turnstiles Marbury and Crawford were.

Both of those guys play play great TEAM DEFENSE.

Larry hughes was on the all-defensive 1st team for chrissakes!

Everybody is not going to be the lockdown defender Bowens is. When a coach implements a defensive strategy:

rotating

defensive rebounding

playing the passing lanes

are key in it. You don't excel at 2 and 3 which Lebron and Hughes clearly did without doing no. 1.
