How do we get Odom back in NY?

Crawford?.....he's a big guard and historically Phil Jackson loves big guards. And what are you kidding me? Lamar Odom in the Scottie Pippen role in a triangle offense? I don't think that is gonna work. Odom plays the game differently than Pippen did.

Anyway....

I think Frye, Odom, Curry, Marbs and Q would be a good mix. Don't know how it would work straight up.....Just thinking out loud. I love Lamar Odom.

I think we have a better chance going after Mike Miller. And he fills much bigger need. he's coming off the bench in Memphis, behind EJ. They have Damon Jones and Bobby Jax on the bench, Craw and James/Rose for Tsakalidis and Miller? Dunno the numbers, but it makes sense for everyone IMO.

Well, I wouldn't mind filling our quote of pasties on the team.

But Miller is a 1-dimensional player...even more 1-dim. than H2O.

I'd rather have Eddie b/c atleast he plays some d...
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

Find a way to get Paul Pierce out of Boston.

Getting Odom would cost Marbury+. Don't kid yoruself into thinking otherwise.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Mike Miller works for me, he is one of the games last pure shooters. He is a poor man's H20, but his jumper is just as deadly. He just isn't the scorer H20 was.

Jones is in Cleveland. Stoudamire is in Memphis. They also have Warrick who needs minutes.

My bad. Saw D Jones, and thought I rememberd something about it. Dahntay then? Dunno if Warrick is going to take many minutes at SG. More like SF/PF. But the minutes sqeeze still applies.

Why can't we just live with Q Richardson and T Ariza? Why can't we settle for a good scorer and a defensive stat filler off the bench. Why do we need another guy? Why can't we just try out what we have for at least half a season before we start saying we need someone else?

because we don't have a reliable scorer other othan Marbury IMO. We're going to be an up & down team with the way we're currently constructed

Let's just wait until midseason to see where our weaknesses are first.

you wouldn't consider q a reliable scorer? curry? by all indications frye? i thought those 3 really addressed the need for adding reliable scorers to marbs and to a lesser extent craw.

I guess if we somehow piece these games together. I don't think Eddy will be able to play over 25-29mins a game. Q is a 40% shooter for his career and doesn't get easy buckets. I'm feeling very good about Frye but right now he's not even going to start. Who knows how many minutes he's going to get. Is he really ready to defend nba PF's without getting in foul trouble? Every rookie struggles in that department. But I sure hope Frye is that reliable 30+ min scorer alongside Marbury. But I dont see how you can turn down an established weapon to pair up with Marbury and put us right in the playoffs like a Paul Pierce. If we even make the playoffs this year most likely we will have barely squeezed in and we'll get knocked out early like every young team that faces a top 3 team.

trust me. a lot of them would be pleased very easily once they can look at their team and see a contender. And I'm not a new yorker

hell yeah i'd love a scorer like paul pierce but if i'm boston and i'm willing to trade him i'm asking for all our promising young players back - frye, nate, lee, reezy, etc. that would be a disaster on our end.

we could try to get him for Nate, Lee, who aren't going to see many minutes anyway, Curry or JJ & future picks. I wouldn't trade Frye since he will be a productive frontcourt player for us someday for 35mins a game
