take away the fact they were on fire, i thought they played really well. they are kind of short handed in the frontcourt, but they have a lot of guys who can get you of the dribble and if Salmons can play at even half the llevel he played at the other night, thats a pretty good team even with a 60% webber. in our division boston and toronto are absolutely BRUTAL, Toronto probably has more talent than Boston if CV plays like this+ they get back Joey Graham[they didnt take granger because of worries about his knee and look what happens, Graham's knee is messed up] so Im thinking Boston last place Tonto 4 right now NY 3 Philly 2, NJ 1. Were going to have to make a playof push the second half the year--need to stay within 4-5 games of .500 and go 10 games over the second half

Im glad LB saw that we need to run back better on D and I know who that was pointed at. There were a lot of guys not playing smart, but Curry, to me was playing lazy and was not helping intimidate the lane at all. When I watched John salmons go in for 3 footers in the lane time+ time either getting fouled or making a shot, I knew LB would speak up.

No panzying Curry, he can score as good as almost any big man, but no babying him at the other facets. Id rather him score 15 points in 35 minutes with 13 rebounds and 2.5 blocks.

Brown took that day off for a reason. He wanted to watch our team to see where changes were needed. The next day, he cleaned up the mess in a hurry.

I think Philly is going to be one of the most up and down teams this year. They'll look like 60 wins one night and 30 another.

Speaking of 6'ers, Core remember your prediction that Iggy's getting traded this year? What did you think of him the other night? Still think he's getting traded?

I'm not high on Salmons. Nice bench player but thats about it. Igodala is sick though, and they have a very good and balanced starting 5. Having the shooter in there (Korver) really makes them that much better. All the pieces on the starting 5 seem to fit well.

I think we have a lot more talent but will we play better? Time will tell. If they are healthy I think the get out of the gate faster, but we have more ponies to keep us up over 82 games. Iverson and Webber are always at risk. I think people are sleeping on how good Igo is, on both sides of the ball. He defends the best wing player on the other team and he's becoming a hell of an offensive player.

They could surprise people and if Webber can stay on the court for ohhhhh, 63-67 games at least and if Dalembert possibly breaks out, then WATCH the F' out.

They are a bit further along than we are at the moment.

We are much deeper.

I think they're a bit of a darkhorse this year. With Dalembert and Hunter protecting their paint and Iguodala continuing to steadily improve, they could seriously contend for a mid-level playoff berth and make some noise in the playoffs. I'm not too crazy about Webber, but they've got the tools to be a great defensive team and of course they have Iverson to devestate on offense, with some great complements the likes of which Iverson has never had for a full season.

...couldn't care less. The sixers damn sure won't get over like that on us during the season.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

The KNicks have better overall talent. What they do with it is up to them.

Webber does not scare me. He is a shell of himself and was never that great anyway, especially in big games.

AI will do his thing. Iguadola is impressive and Dalembert needs to take the next step. The quesstion is will he?

Sixers will battle NY for second in the division behind NJ. NJ is just more polished than NY and that will get them more wins. Boston will struggle, IMO.

Salmons shot more free throws than the whole knick squad. He won't score that many points again in his life time

dalembert, iverson and igodala are each better defenders than anyone we have. Korver is a better shooter than anyone we have. We have more depth? I guess so. Are we better? Not right now, until we can prove capable of defending for 48 minutes.
