I know some of you view the year that we drafted Ewing as the best draft ever, but I have got news for you all, this season's draft is definitely our best draft.

Frye, Lee, Nate, Q, Buttler, Curry and James.....I know, James Q and Curry weren't drafted by the Knicks, but both Q and Curry are young enough to be considered as part of that pool.

The question is, can our draft picks help bring us the prize that Ewing was unable to deliver???????????

2005 will be known as Knicks' best draft ever.

James is 30 years old for goodness sake! Curry has played 4 years. Q is 25!

How can you include them?

You totally forget Reezy, who may be one of the best picks with a second round?

Frye, nate, and lee have yet to even play in a game and you childlike nativity is spewing posts irrational new threads. Just chill!

But consider Willis Reed ROY 1964 from Grambling.

1968 Walt Frazier and Phil Jax
1967 second round Mike Riordan the primary player used to get Earl Monroe.

Look at history and you'll find some real bone head moves, but some brilliant picks also.

Im not taking a thing away from Isiah, just not ready to plan the parade just yet!

James is 30, but he has only been in the league for 5 years....Q is 25 but neither of those 2 guys have yet to hit their maturity as basketball players. I agree with you about failing to include Reezy with the group that I have mentioned, but the reason is just because Reezy was part of last season draft...I do respect our history, but for what it's worth, this draft will be remembered as the best in Knicks history...Can't you see all of the things that are happening for our team??? It is not a coincidence at all, it is destiny

Where or who on our roster is currently capable of giving us double digits numbers on the boards? Q is a good rebounder, but that shouldn't be his duty. I would say between Curry, James, Frye and Buttler, one of them should be designated as our rebounder.

You can't say this is our best draft just yet. You can say that this draft has to POTENTIAL to be the best draft in Knick history.

NYK! I am bold like that...I am claiming it...Look at this lineup: Zeke, Brown, Marburry, Q, Crawf, Nate, Reezy, Lee, Buttler, Curry, James, Frye, recipe for success....If we can keep this group for about 3 years, it will marinade into something very special.

its a good draft. I would trade all 4 of them for one Ewing. Zeke has a good eye for talent. Always has, his past has proven that. To me its the most important part of his job. Any decent hoops guy can get you guys like Marbury and Crawford if your allowed to spend a gazillion dollars. Doing a good job in the draft is a different story, and we have done that.

I may be wrong on the year-but 1964 the Knx drafted IM "Bad News Barnes" a solid PF and on the second round a guy by the name of Reed.

In 1966 they drafted a couple of guys named Cazzie Russell and Bill Bradley

In 1967 they drafted Clyde and guy by the name of Phil Jackson and it was Bradley's rookie year.

Those were bad drafts.

Does anyone remember who the knx drafted the same year they got Ewing?

it appears that it will be a fine, fine draft, but even if you added Curry to that mix, it doesnt hold Patrick Ewing's jockstrap. Remember we also got Gerald Wilins in that draft, and it wil be hard pressed to find a guy as good as Gerald. Maybe there will be, but Patrick is a top 20 player of all time and couldve brought the knicks to 5-6 finals if things just went a little different. Eddie Curry is NOT a player who comes around every 15-20 years--hes a better version of jahidi white at this point, guys like hakeem ewing isiah thomas are guys who come around 15-20 years. Guys like patrick Robinson et al,dont just do one thing well, they dominate the game with scoring defense rebounding all facets--those are players that come around every so often. Right now, as much as Curry looks good scoring against weak interior teams, his game would need to go to a next level.

We do have our Gerald Wilkins in Areeza...I know that many of you don't view Frye as a guy with the potential of becoming a strong offensive player, but I am telling you all, this kid is something special. If Curry can stay healthy and continue to grow, if Lee develops a go to move, if Areeza learns how to shoot the ball, if Nate improves, and most of all, if Marburry becomes the leader that Brown will transform him to be, this draft will be the best draft in Knicks' history. I am claiming it as MY favorite Knicks draft, because I wasn't around in 67/68/69.......

we need a couple of more years before we can make that claim. i remembered our draft in 96. that was supposed to be our best draft also having three first round picks and getting john wallace, walter mccarty and dontae jones. dontae never played, john is well traveled journeyman who can only play on one end of the court ( decent actor in " he got game" though), and mccarty is just a three point specialist who occasionally rebounds.

It isn't about this draft being the best perse, but about this year being our best turnaround. Even drafting Ewing isnt gonna turnaround our franchise the way these moves have.

3 first round picks, 2 of which 4 year players and Q was acquired on draft day, so I say he's in there too, but even without him, the big three will eventually be starting together:
Nate, Lee, Frye...starting alongside Reezy and Crawfish.

Sprinkle in a little Curry and have the dominant 3 man rotation down low.

But still, i digress, looking at just the draft picks.

nate, Lee and Frye. Best draft ever.

I've been away for a bit, and have been avoiding eat crow statements...I've just been happy the ones that made me eat sh!t all summer for my optimism are doing the positive kool aid posts...heck, even fishy is on the soap box preaching!

50 wins b!tches.

A better statement might be the best off season by a GM in NBA history.

Believe dat.

N8, Lee-Bound, the Human Frye Swatter, Q-Dog, Curry Beef, Big Game and ofcourse, Larry "what can" Brown do for YOU!

GM of the year? without a DOUBT.
all kool aid all the time.
