Which Knick rookie is most likely to get left out of the rotation?? You know the vet PF's are gonna get burn. Sorry, I know many of you hate Rose as much as many seem to have hated KT, but his defensive abilities and experience will get him PT. Mo' could be left out because of his reputed poor work ethic, but if Davis joins with a decent attitude he's gonna get in there too, also at Center. It's an interesting dilemma because Frye and Lee are really PF's but Frye can play some center and Lee could play some SF, but those positions are also stacked. C - Curry & James (maybe Davis) SF - Q, Ariza & now Barnes (which is more likely with Allan retiring) With Penny as a backup 1/2, unless Jamison somehow makes the team Nate is really the only other reliable PG on the bench. But then with Craw & Marbury also being combo 1/2 guards one wonders how this is going to all play out. Hence the question at hand... I wish they all could get minutes, but I just don't see it, especially early in the season. One nice thing now is that we actually have A LOT of options.
Channing Frye
Nate Robinson
David Lee

Nate will see the least minutes. He plays the most like a rookie out of the 3 and plays in a position where his biggest asset is his excitement. He makes poor decisions often, I can't see him getting more than 15 minutes per game.

Yup. There should have been a 4th choice: None of the above.

Thery're all good enough to make the rotation IMO. They are great in the 2nd unit together.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

I completely understand the point and I thought about that, but the question is "who will most likely" be left out, not "who will be left out."

The possible 4th choice still applies. It would have been a good way to see how many believe that they all would make rotation.

Out of those choices I'd say Nate because he sometimes makes silly rookie mistakes. The others seem more under control

Before preseason action it would've been easy to answer. Probably the guy left out was going to be Lee only because it would'be too much for Brown to play all three rookies and one in a position Brown has so many options (4: Rose, Mo T, Frye, then Lee). But after what he has showed Brown, its almost impossible to imagine Lee not getting any time.

If there is someone that has to worry is Nate, but not for long. Right now he has to learn how to be a real point guarl like Brown needs him to be. Meanwhile with Houston's retirement and Barnes probably in, Brown has the option of playing Q at the 2 with Crawford being both backup shooting guard and point guard.

i love what frye and lee have done so far. they were a joy to watch last night.

nate however i believe is a revelation. you can't manufacture what he has. athletic charisma and an infectious winning personality are what all the legends possessed. i'm not saying he's going to become a legend but i am saying he could and if he does we saw the beginning last night (at least those of us who missed the SL )

no wonder larry keeps putting him back in even when he f's up or does something outrageous. did you guys see how he brought that team back in the 4th last night? no fear! f mistakes i'm going for the win! out of a rookie point guard?? are we appreciating how unique that is? i'm enjoying this particular ride big time already.

People say Larry doesn't play rookies. We'll have to see if he gives these guys this many minutes in the regular season. Hey may just out of necessity with Frye and Lee. Marbury might get nearly all of Nate's minutes though. Maybe Nate will get some of Jamal's minutes but I can't picture him taking many minutes away from Marbury.

Nate's energy is infectious... I love it... he has that star charisma... reminds me of Kobe in the dunking contest during his rookie season. So ****y. It's hot.
