"Mavs' assistant Del Harris on FOX Sports radio 1190 in Dallas, just a few moments ago said that a trade is about to be completed between the Denver Nuggets and the New York Knicks.

Del indicated that the Knicks were sending Marcus Camby and the #7 pick to the Nuggets for Antonio McDyess and the #17 pick. Denver does not officially have the 17th pick although it is rumored to be going to Denver for James Posey. Washington, who obtained it from the New Orleans Hornets yesterday in exchange for Courtney Alexander.

This deal appears to have been completed during the last 24 hours before the draft when trades can not be announced, until the draft is underway.

This would give Denver the 5th, and 7th picks in the lottery to go with #25 and #33.

A point guard was mentioned as going to Denver also but no name was attached. Charlie Ward, Howard Eisley, or Mark Jackson would all work to balance out the salaries involved."

Ive heard that. I heard the Knicks also were hot for Andre Miller and are looking to throw Spree and Kurt their way for Miller + a bad contract (Hill- who may retire or Z')

Mike and the Mad Dog put this on WFAN about 45 minutes ago... they mentioned Jax or Ward as the point guard that's moving. I think it's a solid move... if Dice busts (which I doubt), it's a salary dump. If he's solid, he's the inside presence we need.

Aldridge reported it was McDyess, Posey, and the 5th(not the 17th) to the Knicks for Camby and jax and the 7th pick.. then he said the Knicks would use the pick on NeNe...It was reported at about 6:35 on sportscenter....I think that one makes much more sense then the others reported...what do u guys think???

I also heard from ESPN a 3-way being discussed between New York, Denver, and Cleveland. Camby and Ward go to Denver, McDyess goes to the Cavs as well as New York's 7th pick, and Andre Miller and Tyrone Hill come to New York. Any of these deals would be sweet so something's gotta happen. This could be our night to grab a franchise player, whether it's Miller, McDyess, or and nice pick.

7:05 PM: Peter Vecsey reports the Knicks are close to acquiring McDyess and #25 for Camby, Jackson and #7. Talks are underway to try and convince McDyess to not opt out after next season.

6:46 PM: David Aldridge reports the Knicks/Nuggets deal may come back as a 3-way deal. Washington may be talking to New York about acquring the 7th pick as well.

6:35 PM: David Aldridge from ESPN reports that the Nuggets are talking to Knicks about trading McDyess, Posey and the 5th pick to the Knicks for Camby, Mark Jackson and the #7 pick. Knicks would take Nene Hilario at 5, Nugs take Tskitshivili at 7. Aldridge notes that McDyess has said he would opt out of his contract in this case, sao the deal may not take off.

7:20 PM: Chad Ford of ESPNews reports that the Denver/Knicks trade could be a 3-way with Cleveland. Cle sends Andre Miller and Tyrone Hill to the Knicks. The Knicks send Camby, Ward & #7 to Denver. Denver sends McDyess to Cleveland.

So are the McDyess rumours dead or is a second rumour surfacing (Van Exel)???
