BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) -- Larry Brown and Eddy Curry made successful debuts with the New York Knicks in a 93-84 exhibition victory over the New Jersey Nets on Saturday night.

Brown made his debut on the Knicks' bench. He has coached in the NBA with Denver, New Jersey, San Antonio, Los Angeles (Clippers), Indiana, Philadelphia and Detroit, where he guided the Pistons to the 2003-04 NBA title and the Finals last season.

"Our effort was great," Brown said. "We tried to do things the right way. We were a little unorganized on offense but I kind of felt that would happen."

Curry led the Knicks with 16 points and four rebounds in 13 minutes. He missed all last season with a heart arrhythmia and was traded from Chicago to New York in the offseason.

"There was a lot of nervousness before the game, a lot of buildup, but overall I felt good," Curry said.

Curry scored the game's first basket with a tip-in. Trevor Ariza added 13 points for the Knicks.

Marc Jackson led the Nets (2-1) with 21 points. Richard Jefferson scored 18, Vince Carter added 12 before fouling out in the third quarter. Jason Kidd handed out seven assists, including an underhand alley-oop pass to Jefferson for a dunk.

Allan Houston, Stephon Marbury and offseason acquisition Jerome James missed the game for the Knicks with injuries

hahahaha

This is classic. I bet if Garnet gets traded to the Knicks, they will say "an aging superstar on the wrong side of 30, unable to carry the load anymore, is dropped on the Knicks with his albatross like contract by the crafty Wolves, Isiah duped again!".

I mean cmon, IT makes bad moves for real, just talk bout those if you want to hate on him, but this negative spin on everything is just annoying.

And yes I'm askig for a Mo Taylor trade sucked article lol.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?
