just wanted to say... remember when the knicks should have drafted ron artest but they took fredric weiss instead? and then remember he got cold feet and never played in the nba, and then it turned out that he sucked in europe too? remember that? yeah.

well, all else i have to say is ariza is the most promising player i've seen in a knick uniform in some years. although nate robinson is giving him a run for his money right now.

Welcome ot the site, bedtime.

Ariza will get significant opportunity to stand out this year. I see him really fitting to the "Larry Brown player" mold regarding playing solid D and making smart decisions on offense.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

Ariza should start over Q at the 3.

Granger has a scary history of knee problems. I think Frye can be an all-star in his own right.

It's not like we were the only team that passed on Granger and he was selected right after us. Close to 20 GMs didn't like what they saw in Granger enough to draft him.

not really. remember that Toronto and Charlotte passed on him twice. so it's more like 14 gms. Granger will be very good, but with Q and Ariza (and at the time Tim Thomas), it would have made no sense for us.

how about we be happy for what we have and not look at other teams like they look at us
It's funny how this whole world is based on one dummy controlling another, and the leader dummy was chosen by a whole bunch of dummies.

Technically 14 GMs passed on him 16 times, rather than the "close to 20" I mentioned. That's what we'd call "a distinction without a difference."

We got the player we needed the most, the guy that brought a different area to the team's play. Even if Granger turns out to be a star, I think we did the right thing in drafting Frye, Nate(you know it was Isiah picking!) and Lee. No regrets..

i think ariza is just about ready to make a true difference (give him a month or two in the season), his jumpshot is suspect, but the kid isn't afraid to pass, and thats what i love about him, almost more than him being a stringbean and throwing his body at the heavy weights and dunking tip ins on their heads. after ariza, it looks like lee could make an impact. frye needs a year of listening and learning, and nate needs to do a lot of work, he makes a lot of rookie decisions and they are obvious ones. he must be used to having total control of his team. thankfully he seems willing to make everyone work together.

and lastly, there is no reason to worry about the young guys, nor is there any reason to speculate as to who we should have taken, because nothing has come to fruition for anyone yet. not channing frye, not nate robinson, or david lee, or danny granger, or andrew bogut or marvin williams for that matter, speculation on who will be great is fantastic, but i don't care about that stuff, it doesn't matter

i need the knicks to be a winning team and franchise, to restore order to the free world
