I looked at all the people who can spend time at the 4 (Frye, Rose, Lee and even Curry from time to time). These guys all have different strengths but when you put them together they make Mo T null and void.

Frye: He's a shooting big man who also block shots. Mo T has a nice jumpshot but he doesn't have the size nor shotblocking skills or potential there. Frye's not a great rebounder but neither in Mo. Frye wins this battle because he's more of a team player type of guy that's going to try his best to carry out whatever LB asks of him. Also, Mo has that "lazy" stigma on him. Frye doesn't.

Rose: I said this before and I'll say it again. He's a LB type of player. A hard nosed, dirtywork type of guy who thinks team first at all times. He provides some intagibles. He's a hard worker, likes playing D and chases down rebounds aggressively on every possession. He doesn't need the ball to be effective. He's also our best postdefender at the 4. This guy ain't afraid to mix it up. He can also knock down the 15 footer. Rose wins.

Lee: Everyone knows how much LB likes this kid. Again, he's a hardworking type of player who thinks team first. He likes to rebound and play D unlike Mo T. Although he doesn't have a post-up game like Mo nor a jumper as polished as Mo, Lee will still be looked upon more favorably by Brown. The kid works hards out there. Lee wins.

I won't even mention Davis because he'll never suit up for the Knicks. But if I did include Davis he'd automatically be ahead of Mo T.

Taylor is my pick for LB's doghouse player who gets very little pt as the season progresses. I think LB is fair and will give Mo every opportunity to earn it. When that doesn't happen Mo is going to ride the pine. We originally wanted a lowpost presence in him but now with these recent moves, we don't need post play at the 4 as much. We have it at the 5. What we need from our 4 is intangibles, rebounding, shotblocking, jumpshooting, post D and all around hard work. We get that from the other guys in different combinations.

I agree that he might not get any playing time, but he is the ONLY PF in our roster with post moves. Lee OR Rose are more expendable to me.
