I know its only 1 meaningles pre-season game, but let me equate this. Lets go short term--remember how good Mcdyess looked and how that looked like it would transform over to the reg season, I have the perception, and that was with no Marbury, or no idea what JJ and Antonio Davis can do, even in limited roles

As for Davis, I would like to see if he could stay and be our starting 4. He doesnt have to play big minutes, its just good to start the game with an intimidator/rebounder. Channing can play 30+ minutes at 4/5 as can Curry[although he will need to build up to it] thats what I forsee. Im very, very happy that the young guys played up to the level that I expected--im sure they will have let down games, but to see their respective talents show through is great.Channing is a great offensive player who can also help on th D, hes just not a great rebounder, but his skill level on the O for his size is very intruiging to say the least. Lets call him a .300 hitter wth no glove right now.

Nate R< I fear, is going to need to hone it in or hes going to hurt his knee. There is a difference between playing hard and , well on a couple of moves he tried were plays he couldve been out for a year. I dont want to see that, its important that he plays hard, but play with a little more control. Use that great athletic ability to do great things, but dont look for sportscenter plays. Those plays will come here and there, but he tried something tonight that was ugly and forced--with no need for it. that play in pre-season where he went up and dunked over guys in Minny--that was a good play--trying to do dunk contest manuevers and over extending himself is not. If he plays smart, he will play. If he tries this stuff to much, they will ahve to take his PT away as a punishment so he plays the right way:>)

The team has a certain air about it, its going to be a competive good team, a playoff team and maybe--heck lets hold these ending contracts and see what comes avaiable--baron davis was had just for ending contracts. lets be patient and see who stinks and who may want to dump salary--shawn marion may come to mind here a tad.

I got into so many arguments with fans about Isaiah. I was telling them to be patient, but they didn't see IT as having any idea what he was doing. I think its starting to become clear to all the fans and the doubting media that IT knows what he's doing. This is going to take some time, but I like where this team is headed.

Briggs or anyone who saw the game... who did Ariza primarily guard?

The young guys really show some production in the box score. Including Jackie B.
