Point guard Stephon Marbury has to get used to playing without the ball more as Brown nudges him toward more of a shooting guard role, and shooting guard Jamal Crawford has to reel in his tendency to launch long shots and learn to handle the ball more and look for the open man under the basket. Both seemed to take Brown's demands in stride.

...

Rookie Nate Robinson is in the backcourt mix along with veteran Penny Hardaway; Jerome James is the backup center, and Trevor Ariza presumably will back up Richardson.

Crawfords running the show with Nate as the back-up is the best news to come out of camp.

I still believe that our best lineup is:
Marb, Q, Ariza or Lee, Frye and James
Marb, Q, Frye, Curry and James is something that will be experimented with.

if Davis reports

Craw Nate Q Davis Curry is our best

if he doesnt, as of right now

Craw Nate Q Rose James defensively

Craw Marbs Q Taylor Curry offensively

hopefully by midseason we can insert Fryes name for Davis and James

you are kidding right, I htink thne lineup he mentioned is the golden lineup:
Rose seems to have the edge over Maurice Taylor at power forward with Curry at center Richardson at small forward and Marbury and Crawford in the backcourt.

Rose helps balance Curry's lack of defensive and keeps the offensive focus on Curry. Q at the 3 is logical because of his ability to post up and hit the outside shot (something we all expected from TT and only got in flashes) marbs running the point is what he is...everyone needs to stop frontin' on Starbury, he's the best PG in the league IMHO. and Crawford is a shooting guard that can handle the rock, or a combo guard.

The bench is James, Nate, Ariza and Penny. Like it or not, when penny was contributing (first 30 games) he took care of the ball and played defense.

This is perfect...I'm ecstatic.

I wouldn't be suprised if Lee was sent to the NBDL.

If Curry isn't in the lineup, it's NOT the best lineup.

I couldn't agree more.....he is a tough cookie. He's not ****y but he is very confident. They keep saying he has to learn to be a team player.....WTF? He changed his game in Pheonix to fit that scheme. Q was never a three point threat. In Pheonix his whole role was to camp out at the 3 point line.

With the Clips he was a 6th man for his first few years and jumped into the starting spot that last season by default and played very well. Q's whole game is scoring. He is not just a 3pt chucker.

No matter what Q still gets 6 rebs a game!! I think Q has a little bit of Carmelo in him. I rooting for the dude to break 16pts per game and come December I hope that he is looked at as a serious peg in the way the Knicks score points.

I trust how Brown will use him. He will listen to Brown and he will do whatever it takes to win.

the lineup of:
Steph, Craw, Q, Malik and Curry is not a very flexible lineup. Yes, Malik is good defender, but he is a liability because of his length...
