Peter Vescey just said on NBAtv that "sources tell him" that the Knicks are trying to trade Jerome James, possibly for Theo Ratliff.

Like he wouldn't have enough venom to spit at the Knicks had we made that move...

This is insane. This is all Isiah has done, played ring around the rozy with the roster. now he wants to trade someone he gloated about before he steps on the court? he just paid what 30mm for him?

would it have been that bad to just draft bynum, move the club ahead at a pace with reasonable goals instead of trying the new shock and awe which just hasnt worked here? maybe if we just drafted bynum and signed Kwame and also signed Curry--and then move forward slowly--all the guys are young. If this guy is making second guesses on james after two practices is channing frye next? this is pschycotic.

if you trade JJ- even if you get Theo- and Curry goes down with whatever- bum ankle, twisted knee- who is playing center?

The only thing I can think of is that he wants Ratliff cuz he can run back on Defense better. Overall they have similar stats and Ratlifff is 32. It makes some sense.

Trade Checker said that Jerome can't be traded until Dec 15th. Besides that the deal can't be player for player, we'd have to add someone. I just tried, Jerome and Rose for Ratliff and it was accepted.

i would rather pay theo $30 mil over 3 years than JJ the same over 5. if we open up a roster spot by going two-for-one that's another plus. not sure why portland would do something like that unless they figure ratliff is shot (he's had some pretty frequent injury problems, right?), if so, then why do we want him?

Calm down man. It's just Peter Vescey! I posted this because I thought it was interesting and entertaining, not because I thought some trade was guaranteed to occur.
