e for sale. I never sold a house in my life, only bought one, and what a frikin pain in the arse. We lived in a two-family brick house on Minna St in brooklyn, home was my family's for a LONG LONG time--we renovated it for my mother in 98 real nice, but shes in her 60's and wants to move into a one floor ranch condo type unit in Stamford. She wants someone down there every time the realtor comes with a client so my brother or i have to trek down there and take my mother shopping or out to eat while people go into the home. no a big deal, but darn i didnt know this was going to happen so many times already. and because i dont work anymore, im the one doing all the friknin driving! and boy, does the place give me old memories but thank the lord i live where i live, not that i hate brooklyn, far from it, but when you are used to quiet and now getting used to knwo trains or traffic the last few years--this is culture shock baby--what happened to loehman's? or bugerrama? brooklyn's changing --i bet its going to be called little manhattan in 10 years i cant believe what some things cost or what my mom can sell her home for--i imagine my grandfather paid 5 grand for it and now the realtor commission could be 10 times that. these old folks sit on piles of gold, sell out and move to Florida and live off the huge returns.
