"I'm going to continue playing hard and out of control, like a wild animal that needs to be caged in. I'll let the referees handle it."

He's not going to make it through the season as a Pacer--I say he self-destructs again... The guy is truly a headcase.

Comeback player of the year, all defensive team, candidate for defensive player of the year. Top 2 or 3 choice.

At this point Artest is so disliked by the league and other fans that he will never win any league sanctioned awards. Artest and Larry Brown? Yeah right.

"I thought Ronnie struggled," Pacers coach Rick Carlisle said. "At times he went away from what we were doing as a team and that disappointed me."

Artest had eight points on 3-for-8 shooting in 12 minutes. All three of his rebounds were offensive.

"I was practicing out there," he said. "I wasn't taking the game too serious out there because that's how the game was going."

Allan Houston's knees are in better condition than Artest's brain.

I don't care about Artest's mindset, he's a guy who scores 20+ a night and shuts down the other defender. He prides himself on defense, works harder than basically the entire NBA save KG and a few others. Why you wouldn't want a guy like that is beyond me.

becuase he's mentaly "unbalanced"

but despite that i wouldnt mind of the knicks made a run at him becuase he plays beter defense than anyone on this team could ever even dream of playing, I think it would make teams take us more seriously.

with the zen master taking kobe and kwame to the next level the only other coach available that could elevate ron to a higher standard is larry brown.

any deal except starbury [no trade]to get artest should be seriously considered.
