highly unlikely NY gets anything of value for Penny. Now Penny + Ariza, Lee may net a player.

When did I say timmy and nothing? Get the quote right. BUT tt's expiring contract was the key money-wise to get the deal done.

it is the player or the player/picks attached to the ending contract. If a coach/GM doesn't want someone on their roster the deal won't go down. Look at the Carter situation, NY offered almost immediate cap relief yet the Raps traded Carter for players with longer contracts. if you buy into Steven A, its b/c they didn't want TT on the roster. (The other 1/2 is that IT rejected their counteroffer of KT and Crawford for Vince but thats irrelevant for this discussion)
