all the interviews from the summer has been mostly from crawford.
not too much heard from marbury.

craw's saying all the right things and using the buzz words for the season: "WE" and "US"

"WE" have a lot to prove.
"WE" were embarassed from last season.
"WE"'ll do whatever coach brown asks b/c he wants "US" to get better.

etc.

he's getting alot of mic time recently and he's speaking and saying things like a leader in training...

just an observation.

From what he's been saying recently, it sounds as if he ready to make that committment. It's just a matter of how soon it'll become consistent.

Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

It's been Allan, but you're right. Jamal seems like a decently smart kid and always says the right things though. Now it's time for him to really step up.

JC is all talk. If he actually starts attacking the hoop instead of hoisting up off balanced 3's, then you'll know he's turned a corner.

If he can convince Larry that he can handle the point, we're set.

NBA players tell you what you want to hear.

He said he practiced his D all summer long. That little video we had showed he was justing letting guys blow right by!

Hey, if some of you can pull apart a player based on first day snap shots of players, I can do a 10 min video!

Just got my Bobcat Mini plan! Whoo Hoo! I get to watch FatMay!

I don't want anymore vocal leaders. I want it done on the court. No more talking. I've been hearing talking for about 5 years now and I'm tired of it. Don't tell me how you are going to play D, GO PLAY D.

I think Jamal will have a huge role on the team this year. He knows how to play with Eddy and he's shown a willingness to be the distributor.

It seems like people accusing him of hoisting off-balance threes and not attacking the basket weren't watching in March and April

Exactly; Jamal has ALWAYS sounded like a leader if you just listened to his off-the-court comments. His excellent off the court speaking AND a quarter gets him a gum ball IMO. I'm just not impressed when guys talk great off the court but are wusses on the court.

Jamal Crawford a wuss on the court? Sure you aren't stretching it a bit, Bonn?

The guy plays hard, but he definitely struggles in some areas that could make him great. He's a tough guy, plays relatively hard, isn't afraid to take a big shot, but he goes to the hoop about as often as Houston and doesn't have as good a shot.

Don't get me wrong, I love the guy, but the guy has some work to do. We have a team of talented, talented players. Hell, even Mo is a very good offensive player. But very few of these guys have shown the committment to winning that LB will demand from them.

If LB can help JC improve his D and shot selection, I'll be happy.

As for his leadership skills, the more players we have that improve in that area, the better.

People forget Crawford is only 25 year old

Some will complain if he sounded too intelligent or sounded too dumb.

I would rather watch him grow , without the hostility
once a knick always a knick
