Current team: 2005- 2006 NEW YORK KNICKS
Possible starting lineup:
pg. Marbury
sg. Crawford or Houston
Cen. Curry or James
pf. Curry or Rose
sf. Q
sixth man Rose or Ariza

Philly and Detriot had a rugged, hardnose defensive player @ every position from their starting lineup. SG.Rip Hamilton's defense was his offense. Problem with these 2 teams, hard time scoring pts consistently.

Knicks look to be more like the Pacers team from the mid-1990's. That team had a nice balance attack. On offense, they had Reggie Miller, veteran Byron Scott, Sam Mitchell and Center Rick Smits. On defense, they had the Davis Bros, backup pg. Haywood Workman and 6'8 Swingman Derrick McKey.

This yr's Knicks team will score plenty on offense.. Larry Brown has to get them to play 48 min of tough defense throughout the season especially stops in the 4th quarter. Im sure it can be done!!

Those stops down the stretch won't be non-existent like last year. The close losses wee suffered last year will turn into the close wins that defensive intensity in crunchtime will help this team earn.
Larry Brown's perfect for the job.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

well, when Brown got to Philly, that was an incredibly young team. there was no Deke there until 2001. Iverson was in his second year. He had Tim Thomas and Larry hughes as rookies. They traded for Theo Ratliff in his second or third season.

I would compare this situation to the Philly situation, except I think we have way more talent.

Indiana and Detroit were far more established teams that Brown put the finishing touches on.

watch out for larry brown he might make Isiah trade Lee for Lynch and Nate Rob for Eric Snow. Then he'll coherse reggie miller and tyrone hill out of retirement so people can finally say we have a Larry Brown type team.
