"Lorenzen Wright and Jerry West verbally went at it big time in late August regarding the center's demand to be traded. The tension chilled a bit when the Grizzlies president called several teams as Wright watched, just to educate him on how little interest there was in him. Obviously, the moment West can trade him for anybody of vague import, Wright will be out of Memphis

Why would memphis trade Lorenzen Wright for Mo Taylor? I'd do the deal!

Once again Zeke has to cherry pick on a problem child from another team. Lorenzon would make a great addition at PF to this team...I may even consider throwing in a 2nd round pick....Lorenzen is 30 so he has some years left...

or back up Center. We need to be three deep at that spot in case of injury or big game james / eddy coming up lame

I think you guys are crazy. Mo Taylor is just fine where he is. If he doesn't play well he can come off the bench, but he is a good offensive weapon to have on your team. Of course he is overpaid but we got him for Coochie & Gin Baker. He'll be fine, we don't need some other teams trash.

Depends on what you mean by trash.....Lorenzon is a FA at season's end, averaged more rebounds (3 more to be closer to exact), more points (2 to be closer to exact) AND is a better defender and was a STARTER at center (Outsized every night) so he can play the position in a pinch...exactly what qualifies Lorenzon as trash?

I was one of the guys who defended the Mo trade to a point, and Lorenzo is a better fit at the PF spot than Mo....If we start Curry, Wright can DEFEND the centers or PF's-whoever is the bigger ofensive threat- to keep the workload on Curry light and to keep Curry out of foul trouble and fresh.

I'd love to get him- but what chips are left?

I think we could have a shot once the season gets underway and some of our rookies start to get playing time- e.g., lee, frye, nate.

Lee & Taylor for wright?

Of course, by then we might be in love with lee off the bench and not care about getting another part...

Wright is worth no more than Mo and a second round pick. Anything more, and we can do without him.
