Amare Out For An Unspecified Amount Of Time
8th October, 2005 - 1:42 am

the left knee that has been troubling him this summer.

Suns GM Bryan Colangelo said that Phoenix is "going through the evaluation process and is going to make sure it has all the information before a determination is made to pursue treatment, possible surgery (and) what the safest and best return is for him to come back to basketball." [READ]

Sign the contracts, then get the surgery!

Business first.

Im sure he did everything possible to get well.

If he was a knick, we'd blame Dr. Norman Scott for waiting too long to suggest the surgury.

I guess I am not drafting him for my team this season.

They knew his knee had problems before giving him 75$mm. Really, they had to do it--hes been playing at a 20mm$ a year level the last two and moved it up to league MVP status in the playoffs.
Its too bad that this kind of thing happens at 22? !?! Now football players some times have their knees blown out, but it is VERY rare for a 22 year old basketball player to have knee problems that require possible surgey. His game is based on explosion, so hopefully its just a fork in the road for him, nothing serious.

I wonder if playing huge minutes at 18-19 years old playing 82 games instead of a meager 30 in college with less minutes is a problem--maybe the body is not ready for that work-load?
who knows

Ah man!!!

I was really counting on playing the Suns at full strength!!! I hope he gets well....I just hope his knee is just sore because it's training camp.
