Rice & Peas!

Ok that was like a bad joke for a sportswriter (which means its realy really bad).

Carlos Boozer would be a plyer with talents that would compliment Curry very well, don't you guys think so. Boozer rebounds, Ds, and doesn't really play in the paint, he shoots mauinly jumpers. Don't you guys agree that Boozer would compliment Curry very well?

Of course Frye could grow into that role as well.

What about Lee's chances as well?

Boozer averaged OVER 11 rebounds a game in his last healthy full season. I just don't think there's any chance that Frye or Lee will be that kind of rebounder. I like Lee and Frye a lot but I don't see the same rebounding and physical strength in them that Boozer has.

I would love to see Boozer next to Curry but I don't see that we would have anything Utah would want to give up Boozer.

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

Funny, I reach the opposite view. I think they regret giving him a huge contract. They can't afford to have him be a max contract player while the team misses the playoffs. They're a very cost-conscious team that would rather get 70% of the production (perhaps from Frye) for 10% of the cost. I think they'd love to get rid of his contract for an expiring contract and one or two talented young players.

I really think Boozer is being maligned in general because of the Cleveland SNAFU.

I know Utah was terrible last year but they looked good until Kirlenko went down.

I saw a bunch of games even after Kirlenko went down where Boozer looked great as an offensive player, one game he had 35/20, something like that.

If you are right about Utah having buyer's remorse, I say let's get Boozer if we can, UFCK the cost!

Boozer is an NBA bruiser and I think he has been slept on at the pro level, and I can't understand why.

I like a booze type player and we do need a bruiser. I think this type player would compliment us off the bench. Frye will fill out a bit and be a handle for teams to defend.

The bruiser needs to be curry. His size, and he could still use more muslcle is condusive to be that banger booze is. No reason eddie with his already in place skills can't be much better rebounder!

I'd rather get a role type player that plays good inside d and can rebound and perhaps get out on the break- boozer would be nice, but he's just too expensive and perhaps more than what we need.

Curry, if he plays well, is all the offensive skill we need up front- boozer is a great player, but I don't think we would necessarialy be able to maximize his value on the squad.

I agree about the role player type. I actually think Butler could developed into a nice brusing defender, a shorter version of Boozer and less athlethic version of Wallace, he seems to love contact too. I like what I saw from him in the SL as far as rebounding and defending. I think it was wise of Isiah to keep him. I think we should let some of our new bigs develop.

This teams young core should be given every opportunity to develop. I want to see these guys get some playing time this year. Its not like the guys ahead of them are so much better that we can't give them some run. Frye and Lee seem to me to be not that far from being able to contribute. Who knows if all they really need is some time on the floor against NBA comp. I like Rose and Taylor, but i'm not so impressed with them that I feel Frye and Lee can't compete with them.

I see Frye as the perfect compliment to Curry. Smart, quick, can shoot facing the basket. Rebounds. Now, he does need to learn to play NBA D and block shots and get even more rebounds than he ever has, but those things can some. Oh, and he needs to bulk up a bit.

I want to see what Frye and Lee can do for a year before making any moves for a Boozer type. The wheel has been spinning enough latley, let's stop and see where we are first.
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.

completely agree. I would give those guys at least 2 years too. 4th year college players who play smart, are cheap, hustle, etc. That can't be over looked.

I feel the same way......guys need to be given a chance....The Knicks are stacked with talent so guys just need to play the game and we can wait at least till Febuary to tinker again.....
