"Layden is modest by nature but even he can't deny that his performances in previous drafts are why he was once regarded as one of the league's top young executives."

What did I miss???
He drafted Shandon Anderson in the 2nd round for Utah. To qoute the wonderful Derrick Coleman= "WOOPTY-DAM-DOO".

He also took Andrei Kirilenko and Byron Russel, both of whom were great picks.

Those are solid picks. But when you consider he drafted Luther Wright and Martin Muursepp number 1 picks for Utah. And he picked Chenowith and M. Wright. UGHHH are you kidding me??? TOP young executive????

I was glad to hear that Layden was the one that drafted Kirilenko. That means he isn't scared of drafting a foreign player, which is good news since I think Nene is better than Wilcox.
