Sam Smith is dissing the hell out of Eddy! And you know what the funniest part of it is that he started off the interview by saying, "I've been trying to get Eddy Curry traded for years now" Sam Smith is just dissing the hell out of him. Mike and Chris don't know any better and will believe every single word he says. Geez.

I usually knock Francesa, but he made a good point when he asked Smith if they cared so much about Curry's healthy, why didn't they just cut him?

Rich, exactly. Chicago's problem was they would have to pay twin towers. When Curry gave them an excuse to lowball him, they spent the summer trying to do just that. Curry decided he wanted to go to the Knicks to be with Craw, and so the trade happened. But, if they did really think there was a chance he shouldn't play anymore, they would have released him.

I don't think they ever really wanted to pay him. They wanted to get him on the cheap. Its really crazy, cuz its not like he failed any of the medical tests and was diagnosed with the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy. They wanted to do the DNA to see if he was genetically at risk for getting it. He was actually cleared to PLAY.
