Knicks draft Chris Wilcox then trade Thomas and Ward for Nick Van Exel.

Knicks trade 7th pick and maybe cash to the Clippers for the 8th and 12th picks. They could draft two players like Borchardt, Jeffries, Wagner, Hilario, or Woods with those picks.

Both trades would be good and i would love either scenario to happen. I think the first deal is more likely, but either could logically happen. Thoughts?

I would absolutely love to get 8 and 12 from the Clips for number 7. We Need players and depth. We can get a good player at 36 too like AAron Mcgee or Ryan Humphrey. This could enable us to get 3 good,fresh,young,athletic,exciting players to our very stale roster.

These trades would be awesome for the Knicks. 2 lottery-picks + Van Exel for our 7th, KT, cash and Ward? Man I'd do this in a heartbeat. Not sure if the Clips or the Mavs would do it though...

Not sure why folks like the KT & Ward for Van X. We give up a post player that we need (even if we draft a big with the 7th pick) and we don't really address the glut at PG. What does this gain us?

But if we could get Van X, get rid of Ward and pick up two first round picks is it not worth the risk. How much of a cancer could he be to our thirty win team. You seem to have forgotten that besides KT our whole team was one big "Tumor" last year. I am all for these trades in fact if there is a distinct possibility for these to happen then ,in the best interest of the team and his career, Layden had better get with it.

Ps. In the event we acquire the #8 & #12 from the Clipps who

If I was running the show we would draft Dajuan Wagner at 8 and Melvin ELY at 12.

jeffries/woods/wagner/butler one of those guys might be available at 12 depending on who falls and who climbs. any of those guys are better than ely, so i'd pick up those guys faster than ELY.
