we would prolly be able to win a championship or at least compete in the next 3 years... as currently constructed with a few added pieaces... i mean, its not deffinate.. but with Larry teaching... all this young talent.. its not that far fetched... few pieces here and there.. and we'd be there.. unfortunately i feel like marbury is a tad too old for the talent isiah has surrounded him with.. oh well, cant do it all i guess.. but i sure would like to see stephon bring us a championship.. i think he would fully understand the signifigance of winning a championship here in NY possibly more than any player we have had here... and he would apreciate it and treat it as it was as big a deal as it is... lets pray.. larry, dont quit on us!!!! stick with us for a 3-4 years we might have something

For Knicks to win they need to play as a team and have some leaders. If Marbury had Kidd or Magic's leadership skills Knicks could win title.

Age and maturity might also bring out the right things in Marbs' game.

Well Nash took a while to get it together.....he wasn't considered one of the best point guards. They kept saying he needs a back-up cuz Nash can't play heavy minutes....alot of stupid stuff. Now he is the best point guard in the league, WTF.....

Kidd? How can we forget Dallas? His Dallas days were a mess. Kidd was selfish. Also while in Pheonix he was surrounded by point guards. The Knock on Kidd was he was turnover prone and didn't make good decisions.....not he is on the Nets he is the best point guard in the league?

I wonder what will the nay sayers say if Marbury leads a good Knicks team deep into the playoffs? For some reason everyone has something against Marbury.

having maturity is important at PG. Heck, look at Derrick Harper. Marbury might be a bit less explosive but he will still be strong as a pitbull.

if you mean less explosive as in skying over people to dunk, then yes that is over with. but he can drive the lane with the best of them and is still considered one of the fastest point guards in the league.

Marbury's not on any kind of decline. He's in the prime of his career. He has no excuse for not coming through now that he's got a big man low post threat to pass to.

If-If-IF!

If that was the case, Marbs would still be a Sun, or a Nyet, or a Timberwolf!

his game will be changed to a point where he won't have to do it all himself...it'll add tons of years to his game.

He doesn't fall to the ground like iverson, but he takes just as many lumps among the trees...I think that will be a thing of the past as we play a more controlled extra pass game.

Leaving the trees to the trees.

This topic is just dead wrong. Marbury is in the prime of his career, also he keeps himself in tremendous shape. injuries aside, marbury will continue playing at a high level for the remainder of his contract for sure, which is 4 more years i believe.
What happened to Travis Knight? What a waste!

The topic should say "if Zeke were hired 3 years earlier"

Great point! He's only 28 even though he's been in the league 10 years (he left after his Frosh year at GT). I say he has a good 7 years left to be a complete player...scoring less but leading more. Knicks will be good this year, better next, and a top 5 team in 3 years. You heard it here first!!
