unless you are so high on David Lee (or he's gone, is it official yet?)

This would give us ferocious rebounder. 9 a game in 23 minutes. A good rugged blue collar lunch pail Oakley type to put with Frye and Curry.

Thoughts? I think this would really balance our frontcourt

theoretically, he would have been a better aquisition than JJ. At least he would be a role player that actually excels in his niche, as opposed to JJ who just has 'girth' going for him

god dont get me started.

Isiah's done a good job but how often does one move not fit with the next? Imagine if we did draft Ike? A ferocious and powerfull rebounder with cannons for arms next to Curry.

I do think Frye can be a hell of a rebounder at the 4 however.

Personally Fish I see another trade in the works. I think Zeke will try to target a rugged player with a later trade that includes Penny's salary and possibly another one of our young guys. I don't think LB will last too long with a non rebounding front line. The team is starting to shape up but still needs more balance. A reobunder and a non Allan HOuston sharpshooter and a defensive guard are some of the options.

I'm afraid that the only 'hell of a rebounder' Frye will be is when LB is screaming at him 'What the hell are you doing out there, grab the f*^#@% ball!'

There is hope- he is tall, so if he could provide a block or so per game, I'd be happy with 8 boards a game...

Na na. No more trades.

Jeeze. I mean, when is enuff enuff.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

bobs: I feel you man, but I'm sorry with Zeke at the helm I'm not imagining that Penny's contract will simply expire. Prepare yourself for another one because it's probably going to happen at least at the trade deadline.

we've had THREE major roster overhuals over 2 trade deadlines, 2 drafts, and 2 summers.

we need some stability. next move is either courtesy of a firesale or a minor addition.

Seriously. When I said Ike wasn't a good fit, it was with the roster we had. With the subsequent moves we've made, Diogu would've been a perfect fit. Oh well.

Happy we got Curry. :)

Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

once Zeke has gotten rid of Houston and completely remade the roster, he'll have to start over again and get rid of everyone he's brought in.

I think Zeke must have misintepreted something he read in a biz book- the only constant is change- to mean, he must constantly change the roster.

I'll agree that those are probably three things we need to pick up- all to an extent role player types- Lee could be the boards off the bench type- Ariza the wing defender- still need that outside shooter from somewhere

I'd love to somehow get Evans but not for Lee who could be a more well rounded player and what if Evans is one of those guys who excel on a team then get a contract from another team and stink it up? It is now clear what Isiah and the rest of the league think of Lee and Nate. We're not trading Lee for Evans it would have to be something else. They could really use Mo Taylor's scoring inside. since Rashard is their scorer but is usually on the perimeter. It could be a sign & trade with some picks involved or something
