look at this team. Who would be better suited to play PF next to Curry?

I like the combo of immovable lowpost force with jumpshooting, face the basket, slasher, shot blocker. Frye is going to have to learn how to play weakside D ala Sheed.

Frye is a huge key. if he plays up to his potnetial, he will be among the nbas best pick and roll shooters--i dont think we lose anything there with kt gone buyt we lose that rebounding and D--so Frye will have to pick up the slack. some guys are pssy-footing with frye, but frye is the same guy who put up 25-15-5 against Illinois in the final four. As long as Frye BRINGS it hard--unlike TT-every night, then he will be a fine player right away.

I thought that also. Larry has little choice but to go with Curry and Frye and go with them alot. JJ sucks, plain and simple. He's big and will have some moments but call a spade a spade. That leaves Mo T, Malik Rose and David Lee.

JJ is a career backup. If he is at all better with the knicks with better coaching and him matureing, he is a very good back up and insureance when eddie "falls and can't get up!

wouldn't mind having KT back, but then we wouldn't have Nate and he could turn into the steal of the draft.

But yea, we do need some low post D and rebounding.

Another trade anyone?

Is Antonio Davis DEFINITELY going to be waived? I really hope not.

What's up Allanfan.........I think you are going to see the season start with Curry and James in the front court. Then as LB's urinary tract infection starts to flare up again you will probably see James relegated to pine time with Curry and Malik Rose. I think effort in the frontcourt will be huge for LB and this probably gives Rose and Lee a leg-up on the rest of the mediocre crew.

As for Antonio Davis, it will be interesting to see what we do with this guy. He's another guy that can legitimately play the center spot when LB's urinary tract infection flares up.

On a side note: If you haven't figured it out I am now officially nicknaming Jerome James "LB's urinary tract inflection"
I just hope that people will like me

curry, james, AD

three guys that not only we can throw at shaq, but at jermaine o'neal, tim duncan, and rasheed wallace.

AND with curry, we have a player OTHER teams have to defend against.

We have a bit of a weakness at PF, but PF is one of the easier positions in the NBA to fill up with a very good player. Last year the Wiz got Antoine Jamison, this year, Shareef and Walker were attainable. Good PFs do move from team to team. Rarely does a team let a good center go.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Sure sure... but if we still had KT, we wouldn't have Q and Nate. No complaints here.

i rather have a PF who can play defense and does more than just jumpshoot. scoring inside wouldn't be a problem now that we have Curry but the jermaine o'neal, kenyon martins of the world driving right pass KT & Curry for thunderous dunks with no message sent would! No thanks I actually rather have Frye start at PF or even Antonio. Its amazing how the Knicks overrated Kurt's defense all these years. He was a good defender before he lost all the weight. After that he was constantly abused. Now Antonio Davis has always been a rugged defender and better rebounder. He actually goes after rebounds instead of letting them fall in his hands or someone elses as KT often did.

What's going to be the best is watching Phoenix this year.

"Nash passes to Thomas. Amare is open. Kurt shoots up an 18 footer. Clunk!"

"Thomas with the ball. Open lane. He puts up a jumper. Clank!"

"Thomas goes for the block. Foul!"

"Thomas goes for the steal. Foul!"

"Thomas watches his opponent go in for the dunk."

"He goes for the dunk. Thomas swings his arms. Foul! Three point play!"

Phoenix will drop back down to 35 wins.

That was a good trade - primarily because of Thomas's age. We're a young team stocking up for the future. We needed to trade Kurt before he got to old to trade for anyone of value.

This I agree with. I have no problem with his moving on and we moving younger.

I would rather have him than James, but I don't want any old players on this team.
