I cant believe Marcus Fizer has fallen so far and has not been signed. He'd be great on the Nets. I think he'd be great on the knicks if we did trade Sweets. He came into the league as a beast.

Fizer: Excellent in college, terrible in the pros, it happens:

Doug Smith
Micheal Smith
Mario Austin
Edwards from Florida State (I forgot his first name, but he was played with Sura, Ward, and Cassell, he was picked in the lottery and he never got a foothold in the NBA.

And so many more...

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

Fizer is injury prone......he has hurt everything....not a little bit but season ending injuries like crazy. What can you do?

Dude has a wicked body. He is a nice scorer and rebounder.....Dude showed countless signs but then he goes down.....

Still Fizer should be a Net. Even for the veteran minimum.

I joke about Scott Padgett but watch him play well in New Jersey, lol. Time will tell.

Man I love being reminded of some of those names. I remember Doug Smith, he was going to be an exact version of what Dwight Howard is now.

And Michael Smith there were 2. There was the sharpshooter from I think BYU, around 6'10" And there was the rugged rebounder from Providnece too.

Austin was one of those bears that only a handful of which seem to thrive in the nba (please let sweets be one of them)

I coudln't remember Edwards' name either so I looked it up - it was Doug Edwards. Drafted by Atlanta. They have a pretty impressive history of draftees who didn't make it, including Billy THompson, Dallas Comegys, Rumeal Robinson, Adam Keefe.

I was talking about the BYU Smith. I always wondered why Providence Michael Smith didn't stick. He was drafted late but he really showed some stuff playing with Brian Grant in Sacramento.

And here are another couple of good busts for you:

Alec Kessler
That kid Lynch (Nebraska? It was the Big 8 anyway.)
Eric Montross (Why anyone thought he wuold be good is beyond me.)
Yinka Dare (Next Mutombo my ass!)
Luther Wright (I just felt bad for the poor kid...he was a physical monster but you could see that he was truly 'slow')

Ed O'Bannon!

Ahh, Ed O'Bannon, The quintissential college player... I always though he might have been able to stick if he hadn't blown both knees...It took him at least 6 years to get out of college. Where is he now?
