these guys are such dummies. I remember Kandi turning down 6 years $60mm because they wanted $88mm (max money) Now Spree balks at 3 years and $21mm.
I wonder how $21mm would feel right now. Not to shabby I think. Maybe he can sue someone.
Yep. Then their careers go way south after that and their rep is ruined. Greed leads in only one direction.
Besides, when you're overpaid, teams will get rid of you in any trade, even it means taking back two worse contracts Howard Eisley and Shandon Anderson.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Peace to Spree for speaking the truth. NBA owners make 10 times more than any "overpaid" player. Spree, go get yours, cause the owners are getting theirs!

He got his. And he deserved it. But he's gotten older, his play has gotten worse and he hasn't adjusted to that truth - he's not worth the same money he once was.

You mean he doesn't realize that his skills have declined and he is demanding a contract that does not represent his current talent level? Man, that must have never happened before in the NBA.

Happens all the time, but doesn't change the fact that, in this particular case, Spree doesn't deserve the money. Sometimes owners overpay. Let me rephrase, owners usually overpay. However, that doesn't mean that a player is entitled for that reason alone. Owners are getting more money conscious and it should help the NBA in the long run.
